(4)Dragons vs Les Bananes(5) S.O
Les Bananes may have washed away some sour memories after defeating the Dragons in a shootout. Already with a goal during the match, captain S.Euchi patiently beat S.Fraga in the shootout with a tricky wrist shot. The story of the match however may have been the strong play of K.Arsenault who not only assisted in all three goals but was able to beat S.Fraga for a second time in the shootout. The Dragons just recently fell to the Bramabulls in the finals and had to go through Les Bananas in round one of the playoffs.
(9)Bramabulls vs Hellas(0)
From start to finish the recent champs cruised their way to an easy win. Many players had the fun of finding the back of the net that saw only M.Richard score more than once for his hat trick. With at least two goals in every frame, the Bramabulls stoned S.Sauk over 40 times leaving the veteran net minder discouraged. He didn’t have his busiest night but G.Follano will gladly take the shutout after facing a mere 14 shots.
(4)Brewers vs United Arms(1)
Once the Brewers grabbed the lead it became very difficult for the United Arms to find an equaliser. D.Verta snapped the 1-1 tie by the 11:30 mark of the second period and although the United Arms had plenty of time for an equaliser, they weren’t able to penetrate the defensive style that the Brewers possess. M.Rheaume took care of some offence finishing with three points and C.Muccino was nearly perfect in nets allowing only Y.Nazarian to beat him.
(5)Blades vs Mighty Drunks(6) O.T
B.Makris was absolutely remarkable for the Mighty Drunks. Its not often a player scores in every period as the talented forward was able to net four goals that included the overtime winner. Despite having a short bench, Blades led 4-3 up until B.Makris came up big twice in a short handed situation.
The player of the night goes to B.Makris. The talented forward amazed everyone by posting up four goals and a helper that included two short handed tallies in which one of those goals came in overtime.
