(4)Red Nose vs Butchers(1)
A.Zarzour scored twice with two feeds from N.Delia as the Red Rose defeated the Butchers 4-1.G.Delia helped set up two first period tallies and J-P Gagnon had a near perfect game in nets allowing only one late second period tally from T.Karasek. It’s still early in the season but the Butchers will look for adjustments moving forward as they remain winless after two games.
(4)HC Inter vs 1 Timer(5) S.O
D.Crivello may have netted a hat trick for HC Inter but it was T-C Perrault’s lone shootout tally making the difference. Apart from his game deciding goal, T-C Perrault came up huge towards the end of the game where he evened the score on the power play to send the game into overtime. Each side only combined for three goals in the first two periods before opening it up by the final frame.
(3)Red Vipers vs Sedgyfergo(7)
A third period breakout by Sedgyfergo separated the two squads as they now improve to a 2-0 record. Tied at three goals a piece, S.Gauthier was able to put his club in front followed with two power play goals from M.Brault and X.Chaltin which put the game out of reach. X.Chaltin was the only player to score twice for Sedgyfergo while C.Campeau was the Red Vipers best player with three assists.
(5)Hulkamania vs Untouchables(10)
After building a first period 5-0 lead, Hulkamania simply cruised the rest of the way to open up their season in the right direction. J.Courteau started as a winger and netted two goals before switching to centre adding one more tally for his hat trick. It came as a loss, but one way or another S.Trudel finds a way to accumulate plenty of points as the crafty forward finished his game with one goal and three helpers.
(4)Zeus vs French Kiss Mafia(9)
Still showing he’s got his scoring touch, A.Stamiris powers four goals to help lift the French Kiss Mafia over Zeus. A.Stamiris tallied in every frame and the French Kiss Mafia scored three times on their power play while adding a short handed marker. S.Govas used his heads up play to help set up four goals.
(6)Les Bakaloo vs Bijoux(5) S.O
It may have come as a win but Les Bakaloo know that they let this result slip away. Up by four and with only five minutes remaining, D.Dire scored twice in 15 seconds followed with two other tallies by S.Larouche-Champagne and M-A Roy forcing the game into overtime. After assisting twice during the match, H-A Leveille gave the extra point to Les Bakaloo by notching the lone shoot out marker.
The player of the night goes out to Simon Champagne of Les Bakaloo. Out of his clubs five goals, Simon Champagne assisted once before completing his hat trick in a close 6-5 shootout win over Bijoux.
