(5)Armadillos vs Venom(3)
After a slow start to the match, the Armadillos eventually found their groove netting three third period unanswered goals. P.Koutsogiannopoulos put his game into gear towards the end of the second period where he posted his first of four points on the night. The Armadillos contributed with balance scoring that had nobody tally more than once.
(6)Latin Blue vs Hollywood Hustlers(7) O.T
With each team deciding to open it up, extra time was needed for the Hollywood Hustlers as they just got by Latin Blue. While Latin Blue saw S.Monnet and M.Latreille riffle a pair of tallies each, the Hollywood Hustlers got their scoring done from seven different players. When it counted the most, F.Pace captain of the Hollywood Hustlers captured the moment by netting the sudden death winner.
(4)Armadillos vs Bramabulls(2)
Similar to their previous match an hour earlier, the Armadillos once more owned the third period to get the result. K.Papapostolou snapped a 1-1 third period tie, and S.Kipopoulos immediately extended the lead before P.Koutsogiannopoulos put the game out of reach later on in the frame. It’s not often easy playing twice in nets in only three hours but C.Giannakis lived up to the task earning two wins and six points to the standings.
(3)Assaut De Laval vs X-Treme(9)
G.Tutino netted a hat trick, W.Vanwyk and J.Fauteaux each had two goals and X-Treme were able to oust L’Assaut De Laval on Monday night. From start to finish, X-Treme cruised their way to earning a victory and were dominant especially by the second portion of the match where they tallied six out of their nine goals.
(2)Whalers vs Raging Rhinos(12)
The Raging Rhinos added some artillery to their line up leaving the Whalers with no answers. With no one really standing out, the Raging Rhinos controlled the match from beginning to end posting plenty of goals in every period. M-A Piche, A.Kornaros, D.Hill and B.Kornaros all two goals each and N.Mauro had a decent night allowing only two tallies.
The player of the night goes out to Peter Koutsogiannopoulos of the Armadillos. In two games, the dangerous forward accumulated a total of six points helping the Armadillos capture two straight wins to open up their season.
