After grinding it out for over 45 minutes, Team Greece silenced the River Rats by the two minute mark of overtime. T.Bozinakis tied the game at one goal a piece early in the third period and N.Tzaferis was able to put his club over the top by netting the sudden death winner. The River Rats got their lone tally in the second frame with a power play marker from M.Crialese. C.Stavriadis faced 30 shots and was able to earn the win over his counter part G.Follano.

Team Greece had the difficult challenge of taking on the undefeated Northstars after playing an hour earlier. They managed to hold their own for a while until the second period where the Northstars pounced twice with tallies from G.Gelinas and S.Lavoie. That lead proved to be more than enough as G.Gelinas made sure to secure things with his second of the contest which eventually led to J.Beaudry’s shutout.

The Northstars are extremely convinced that they are the best team so far posting back to back wins versus difficult opponents. This time they trailed 2-0 and were able to mount a comeback netting tallies in every frame. M-A Martineau assisted on his clubs first two goals and P.Grenier cashed in by the third notching the game winner. After playing twice in only three hours, J.Beaudry was brilliant in nets allowing only two goals.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jonathan Beaudry of the Northstars .After playing in a double header night, the veteran net minder helped his club accumulate six points improving to a perfect 6-0 record.
