(4)River Rats vs Capitals(0)
F.Dominianni opened the scoring and added a second tally in the first period alone as the River Rats blanked the Capitals on Sunday evening. After grabbing a 3-0 first period lead, the River Rats frustrated their opponents and did an excellent job defending all game long which enabled G.Follano to record a difficult shutout. M.Argiris was the most productive netting a goal and two helpers while his captain M.Richard chipped away with a pair of points.
(5)Team Greece vs Les Derniers(5) S.O
Its one of those games that will leave Team Greece in disbelief. As much as Les Derniers deserve credit for mounting a miracle come back, Team Greece have no one else but themselves to blame. Up 4-0 with half a period remaining, Les Derniers riffled four straight tallies before settling for a draw. Payam Assadi was the only multi goal scorer of the match helping Team Greece build a lead and T.Bozinakis was able to score in the shootout while S.Bellefleur responded by doing the same for Les Derniers.
(2)Team Finland vs Les Rouges(3)
It took a grinding third period but Les Rouges finally get in the wins columns accumulating three important points to the standings. D.Verta gave life when netting an early third period power play goal to tie the game at two goals a piece. With the game winding down, C.Moutafis notched the go ahead marker and Les Rouges were able to protect the lead for the remaining four minutes. M.Croteau may have temporally saved Les Rouges’s season as the veteran net minder had to be brilliant in nets.
(7)Northstars vs Les Derniers(3)
No matter what the situation may be during a game, the Northstars simply refuse to lose. The top gunners trailed 3-0 and eventually decided to click by the mid way point of the third period where they riffled their first of seven straight tallies. S.Lavoie scored his first of two on the power play to get the ball rolling and M-A Martineau took over bagging three goals all coming with less than three minutes remaining. Les Derniers may look back at this as a tough one to swallow but they need to keep in mind that it was their second game in a short period of time.

Monday October 27
(4)River Rats vs Les Derniers(1)
F.Dominanni continues to show how the game of ball hockey is played. The veteran d-man once again made plenty happen, this time setting up three different temmates enabling the River Rats to hold a solid second place position in the standings. The River Rats caused problems with their man advantage that saw the captain M.Richard net his second on the power play while B.Daniele was able to score the other. For two straight periods, G.Follano was perfect up until the early stages of the third period where S.Gagnon was able to solve him.
(6)Team Finland vs Les Rouges(0)
There was no stopping J.Corsi on this night as the talented forward bagged three second period tallies while adding one in the third to finish with an impressive four goal night. That wasn’t all Team Finland had going for them, as they worked a full 45 minute game playing solid defensive hockey as well which led to a shutout performance by their captain M.Raimondo. Team Finland only got on the board by the second frame where they notched three goals while doing the same by the third.
(4)Team Greece vs Northstars(5) S.O
They may not have gotten the win but Team Greece has shown everyone that the Northstars can be defeated. Nearly suffering their first loss of the season, A.Favron saved the perfect record by tying the game with only one minute remaining in regulation time. After playing through a scoreless overtime period, the Northstars got the final say in the shootout where P.Lavoie and M.St-Michel each tallied to beat F.Moshonas. Team Greece may have hoped for a better out come but can take plenty of positives from this match moving forward if they hope to be a legitimate contender.

The SalumiVino player of the week goes to Freddy Dominianni. From the Sunday evening game, and into Monday night, the veteran d-man was vital for two River Rats victories accumulating a total of seven key points.
