(4)Team Finland vs Capitals(5) O.T
Despite a remarkable third period comeback, Team Finland weren’t able to get the job done. The Capitals looked to have total control of the match up until a four minute sequence changed all that. Team Finland scored three quick goals to gain a 4-3 lead before L.Southern responded to send the game into overtime. Apart from his equaliser, L.Southern was all over the court netting two goals that included the sudden death winner along with a pair of first period assists.

Monday November 17
(8)River Rats vs Les Derniers(5)
In what was a must win game for Les Derniers didn’t pan out as the River Rats continue to roll in the C Monday night division. This was a first of two games on the night for the second place seed and what a way to start it off as D.Grasso powered five goals and a helper to help lead his club in the right direction. Les Derniers had the better start thanks to a pair of first period tallies from D.Montreuil before collapsing by the second frame allowing four unanswered goals. M.Crialese struck twice and added two helpers for the win while the captain of Les Derniers B.Jutras also finished his night with two markers.
(8)River Rats vs Les Rouges(2)
Clearly goals won’t be an issue for the River Rats moving forward as they notch eight more to collect a second win in only three hours. For a second straight time, the River Rats had their best moments in the second frame where they buried five markers for a 6-2 lead. J.Morina and Marco.Diaco converted twice each while M.Argiris was the most productive finishing with four points.
(2)Team Finland vs Northstars(4)
The Northstars made sure not to make losing a habit as they bounce back with a 4-2 win over Team Finland. Striking early, the division leaders won the opening frame 2-0 and added an early second period goal from M-A Martineau before Team Finland responded twice making a game of it. Even though this left plenty of time for an equaliser, Team Finland couldn’t find a way to tie the game which eventually led to late marker from C.Forest who finished his game with two goals and an assist.
(2)Capitals vs Les Rouges(1)
Despite losing both games in their double header night, Les Rouges did put up a good battle versus a dangerous hockey team. This match was only decided by the mid way point of the third period where M.Champagne riffled his second of the contest giving the Capitals a 2-1 lead. Each side exchanged tallies in the first period less than a minute apart and maintained to keep things tight the rest of the way. C.Fortin stood tall between the pipes and was able to earn the win over his counter part M.Croteau.
(4)Team Finland vs Team Greece(3)
After playing it safe for two periods, each side decided to open it up by the final frame. Deadlocked at one goal a piece, Team Finland had enough legs to post three third period goals in which two came off the blade of A.Mezzagno to defeat Team Greece. A.Raimondo got credited the winner while his brother M.Raimondo kept his club in it all game long to earn the win between the pipes.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Mathieu Champagne. In a game where goals were hard to come by, Mathieu Champagne notched both tallies for the Capitals in a close 2-1 win over Les Rouges.

This now concludes the regular season for the C Monday night division. The Northstars and the River Rats will skip the opening round for capturing the top two seeds.
