The Dragons seem to always be a thorn no matter who they play. Tonight, they went the distance against a top ranked team and defeated them in a shootout battle. L.Dulcetta’s late slap shot evened the score for the Dragons who then saw S.Koulieris profit in the breakaways as the lone shootout goal scorer. It came in a losing cause but F.Giannini showed what he’s capable of by netting all three tallies for the Bramabulls.
(6)Les Bananes vs Hellas(2)
It took some time but Les Bananes were able to open the flood gates over a depleted line up. Hellas tested their fate with no changes and managed to put up a decent fight till the mid way point of the match. F.Laurin took control of the situation bagging three straight goals before finishing his night with four points. It came a little too late but Hellas did get some satisfaction by solving A.Mawassi twice with efforts from M.Boafo and N.Velji.
(2)Blades vs Brewers(2) S.O
Despite playing on their heels for most of the night, the Blades salvaged a point in the end. The Brewers put plenty of pressure and did a good job taking advantage of a short bench but struggled to capitalise in certain situations. M.Lastoria opened the scoring on brilliant effort to beat C.Muccino while M.Fazzolari was able to respond with a hard slap shot solving A.Caruso for a rare time. After a scoreless overtime, D.Bertand of Blades along with R.Mancini of the Brewers were able to notch tallies in the shootout.
(1)Mighty Drunks vs United Arms(6)
With results such as this, the United Arms look to be in form heading into the post season. Despite giving up a late third period goal, the United Arms took total control of the match building a comfortable 5-0 lead before trading goals by the third. A.Minassian was the only player to score twice that included the winner while C.Kalachian had the most assists feeding three different teammates.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Francois Laurin of Les Bananes. His first three goals of the game along with a helper helped lift his club to a 6-2 win over Hellas.

The regular season came to an end on Thursday night which now sets the stage for the playoffs. With the Bramabulls skipping the first round for finishing in first place, the match ups are as follows:

Thursday December 4 (Playoffs Round 1)

The Brewers entered the night with only one thing in mind and prevailed by knocking out a higher seed. Once they grabbed the lead on a goal from R.Mancini, the Brewers were able to protect it up until J.Mandracchia evened the score with just over three minutes remaining in the game. After all that work of climbing crawling back into the game, M.Rheaume answered back just an instance later with a tally that ultimately sent the Brewers to the next round. C.Muccino had the difficult task of facing many snipers but managed to stand tall in nets allowing only one goal.

(2)United Arms vs Dragons(4)

In the span of barely two minutes, the Dragons put an end to the United Arms season. Entering the third down 2-1, the Dragons went on a three goal scoring rampage getting tallies from G.Cardillo, S.Koulieris and G.DeMarinis. F.Atkinson made two of those three goals happen with assists and was a major reason why the Dragons moved on while Y.Derohannessian did all he could for the United Arms posting both goals.

(5)Mighty Drunks vs Les Bananes(4)

Two clutch goals by N.Tzaferis makes the difference as the Mighty Drunks take the contest. The big d-man snapped two third period ties netting his second with less than a minute remaining on the clock. Each side did a fine job working their power play striking on a pair of occasions. G.Chountalos had a three point night in the win while K.Arsenault and F.Laurin did the same but in a losing cause.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Nick Tzaferis. The Mighty Drunks defenseman scored two very big third period goals sending his team to the semi finals.
