(1)Team Finland vs Northstars(2) Game 2
If there was one thing the Northstars wanted to make sure of was to grab the lead before their opponents. The division leaders took care of the task by the eleven minute mark of the second period where they riffled two quick goals just over a minute apart. M-A Martineau struck first and P.Bibeau was able to extend the lead which proved to be just enough for a positive result. Team Finland didn't go down easy by winning the final frame with a lone power play marker from P.Musto. After dominating the regular season and playoffs with only one single loss to their record, logic was able to prevail for the Northstars. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com, congratulations go out to Nick Cinquino and the rest of the Northstars for capturing the C Monday division.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Patrice Lavoie. The Northstars overcame a 2-0 deficit in game one in large part due to Patrice Lavoie’s three goals.
