Thursday December 18 (Finals)
(5)Bramabulls vs Brewers(2) Game 1
As much as this was a very uncharacteristic start for the Brewers, the Bramabulls harped on their opportunities grabbing a 3-0 first period lead. At this level, its often rare a team comes back from such a hole and was why the Bramabulls did all the necessary things to seal the win. M.Argiris, as he’s done it many times before, was able to make most of the difference by riffling three important goals. A.Moffa took care of the balance with a pair of markers and P.Rivera had a productive game as well setting up three tallies.
(4)Brewers vs Bramabulls(2) Game 2
After a similar start in game two, the Brewers found a way to overcome a 2-0 deficit forcing a third and deciding game. There may not have been any heroes in this contest as everyone had to pull their weight leading to efforts from four different goal scorers. D.Colatosti tied the game up on the power play before his teammate M.Rheaume also tallied with the man advantage giving the Brewers their first lead of the night. With only five minutes remaining, long time veteran C.Charles added insurance to help send is club to a game three mini game.
(1)Bramabulls vs Brewers(0) Game 3 O.T
With both sides knowing the importance of the first goal, and after splitting the previous games, came down to who was more opportunistic. That moment only occurred in the sudden death frame where M.Moukas ended the series with just over a minute remaining. Each side were extremely deserving, and as much as this contest could have gone either way, the recent success of the Bramabulls was able to carry over. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com, we would like to congratulate Anthony DiPerna and the rest of the Bramabulls for capturing the D Thursday night division championship.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Milton Moukas. His lone goal was the reason why the Bramabulls are crowned champions once more.
