(1)Garage Gang vs Hawks(3)
The Hawks came out victorious on Friday night in a hard fought game by both sides. With the penalty box busier than usual, the Hawks focused on getting it done on the court with the games first two goals. The Hawks entered the final frame up 2-0 with goals by E.Colella and J.Korakakis before T.Michalidis cut the lead in half on the power play. The Hawks would answer back to get the game closer, courtesy of an empty net marker by N.Faria. The Garage Gang did have their share of scoring chances but faced a wall in C.Stavriadis, who denied all but one player.
(5)Stones vs Park Avenue Legends(6)
The Stones rally with three straight goals for a comeback, but fall short against the Park Avenue Legends. S.Cipriano looked to have changed the direction of the match when equalizing the game on the power play up until S.Robineaults blistering slap shot put the Legends back in front. That tally occurred with only two minutes left in the game which was immediately followed with another goal by Robineault. N.Macrozonaris played a major role with three first period points that included two goals. The Stones got their production from J.Pizzuco and T.Settino as each player scored twice.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Nick Macrozonaris of the Park Avenue Legends. His three first period points put the Park Avenue Legends in the driver’s seat enabling his club to capture their first win of the season.
