(3)Les Boys vs H1G Boys(5)

Leo Mancini had two goals for the H1G Boys in a 5-3 season opening game over Les Boys on Wednesday night. F.Federico, D.Vellucci and C.Vellucci also went on to score. The H1G Boys tallied once on the power play and once shorthanded to get their special teams going. While this marks a good start to the season for the H1G Boys the same can’t be said for Les Boys, who have yet to capture a win in three games.

(11)United Arms vs Steelers(5)

Only three games in and the United Arms already have 27 goals for. After piling on the offence for two periods and grabbing a 7-5 lead, the United Arms distant themselves in the final fifteen minutes where they bagged four unanswered tallies. A.Ziade, N.Macrozonaris, J.Constantin and H.Jerjian each had two goals. If there’s one positive that the Steelers can take from this loss is the addition of C.Petrakos, who notched four out of his clubs five goals.

(5)Money Shot vs Primetime(1)

Four goals in only nine minutes was what the Money Shot needed to get by Primetime. T.Oliveira started it all as of the one minute mark of the second frame to open up the flood gates. J.Tortorici set up James Tutino for the second goal before putting together back to back tallies f or a 4-0 lead. Each side went on to trade one third period tally that saw P.DelliColli give up one lone marker by T.Flikas. It’s not the kind of start they wanted, but Primetime will look to erase a three game losing streak to regain confidence.

(6)Fatal Demons vs Brewers(2)

Six different goal scorers coupled with a collective team effort has the Fatal Demons capture their second win of the season. The match took one direction by the second where three unanswered goals put the Demons up 5-1 after two periods. N.Pollis got credited the winner striking by the mid way point of the match. The Brewers did miss their opportunity on the power play to get within reasonable margin but that was spoiled when P.Santullo buried a huge shorthanded marker. One thing that worked well for the Brewers on this night was their five man unit as D.Dery scored on both occasions.

(4)Electric Area vs Bolts(5) O.T

Despite having a great start to the game, the Bolts depended on overtime to escape with points. Up 4-1 after one period was a lead that was never challenged up until the three minute mark of the final frame where the Electric Area planted a seed for some concern. T.Karasek was a big part for mounting the comeback posting two third period tallies that included one fairly late in the game. With that kind of momentum, the Electric Area felt they deserved better but failed to strike when it counted the most. G.Aimone helped erase a bad third period by notching the sudden death winner. The Bolts got a multi goal game by A.Sarrigiannis, and efforts from their captain M.Melo along with M.Gagnon.

(11)Horsemen vs Chaos(1)

Unable to stop V.Pandza and the rest of the Horsemen, the struggling Chaos suffered a second straight ugly loss. The tall forward wasted no time riffling an early hat trick just eight minutes into the game for a 5-0 lead. J.Driscoll along with his captain T.Zermalias each had two goals while Pandza went on to add two more markers for a six point night. It won’t often happen that M.Latreille doesn’t get at least one on eleven goals but the established goal scorer will be content with eight assists. Chaos celebrated their lone goal by the mid way mark of the final frame where R.Fyfe was able to solve M.Vinciguerra.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Vinko Pandza of the Horsemen. Pandza put the game to rest very early with three quick before adding two more to finish with six points.
