(4)French Connection vs Werewolves(7)

As much as this contest was close for half the game, the Werewolves would eventually plow through the French Connection defense to earn a 7-4 victory. The French Connection had their hands full in trying to contain J.Guerriero, who had three goals and two assists. D.Traversy consistently puts up numbers as the cardio machine scored twice while setting up Guerriero late in the game. Despite missing some key elements, the Werewolves showed tonight how deep their lineup is. This is a team right now that has yet to lose a game and most likely won’t be dropping many from now till the end of the season.

(4)Street Ballers vs SBS Trashers(6)

D.Brunetti does it all on Thursday night to help lead the SBS Trashers to their first win in three games. After collecting two first period points, the SBS Trashers forward showed why he was a big deal by producing two unanswered goals to put his club in the driver’s seat. Each side went on to exchange tallies by the third that saw P.Nadeau put the match away on the power play. The SBS Trashers finally earned their first win in three games while the Street Ballers dropped their first contest in as many matches.

(3)Deadlast vs Carnage(4) S.O

Deadlast and Carnage were tied 3-3 after three periods and it remained that way after an exciting overtime with plenty of opportunities at both ends. Deadlast did have a couple of glorious chances to win it in extra time but had the miss fortune of hitting a goal post and a defending player on the goal line with the goalie beat. The game eventually went to a shootout with Carnage winning it 4-3 thanks to a lone marker by Ara Kalaydjian. Each side kept it very close and depended on an overall collective effort that saw no one in particular stand out.

(4)Chiefs vs Les Coqs(7)

It may have been close for a while but Les Coqs just kept on working to get the better of the Chiefs. After a wild 3-3 first period, this contest started to slowly shift into one direction. Les Coqs kept battling hard and took advantage of some mistakes the Chiefs made over the course of the night. Apart from F.Bchara’s two goals, Les Coqs saw five different players find the back of the net. It’s only their second game of the season but Les Coqs are glad to capture a win. As for the Chiefs, giving up 20 goals in only three games is simply unacceptable for a club who prides themselves on defense.

(6)Magic Bullets vs Eagles(3)

K.Certosini knows how difficult it is to play with barely two lines. The Eagles tempted fate with their short bench and got what they most likely expected in the end, a loss. The Magic Bullets focused on their own game and got a good start with a 3-2 lead before distancing themselves as the game went on. With six different players finding the back of the net, L.Helias-Blain may have notched the biggest tally of the contest. His shorthanded goal gave the Magic Bullets a 4-2 lead which eventually stood up as the winner. S.Beauvillier had a sound game between the pipes facing over 30 shots to record the victory. After an ugly loss a week ago, the Magic Bullets regained some confidence improving to a 2-1 record.

(1)Seals vs Snookers(5)

The Seals weren’t able to take advantage of the Snookers who played with no changes from taking this contest. The Seals, despite winning the opening frame 1-0 on a goal by J.Trepanier, weren’t able to slow down a club who had no business dictating the match with no substitutions. The Snookers played it smart and took advantage of their opportunities when presented. F.Deveau picked his spots by bagging two second period goals while adding a third one later to complete his hat trick. N.Faria and G.Dantiste each made an impact as well combining for eight points while M.Sanchez held the fort in nets giving up only one goal on 29 shots.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Francis Deveau of the Snookers. F.Deveau along with the few Snookers never had a chance to change and managed to produce three goals and a helper in a 5-1 win over the Seals.
