(10)Brewers vs Fast and Furious(2)
Brewers cruise to lopsided victory over Fast and Furious
J.Colombo felt abandoned early in the second period when his short bench and tired defense couldn’t hold up the Brewers pressure. E.Pellerin began the onslaught by breaking a 2-2 tie for his second of the night as part of a three goal performance. The Brewers had plenty of players converting. A.Lanni and R.Hagen each had four helpers and G.Platanitis shut the door for over two periods to record an easy win in net. Both sides figured this match was going in only one direction with only one spare versus a three line group. Regardless the situation, the Brewers are glad to bank some early points. As for the Fast and Furious, it’s no secret that it will take more bodies if they plan to get any sort of success.
(3)Devil Dawgz vs Stones(4) O.T
T.Settino saves night for Stones, nets O.T winner
Who other than your most valued player to get things done. Quiet in terms of accumulating points during the game, T.Settino saved his best for last. The skilled player back handed a rebound on a short angle to bury his first of the season. Both teams played your typical chess match styled game. The Devil Dawgz led 3-2 heading into the third period but couldn’t hang on to it when D.Ramada evened the score. S.Sicuso helped set up two goals for the win while A.Guillaume and M.Archambault were the Devild Dawgz best players combining for four points.
(3)HBHA Seniors vs Hawks(5)
Hawks top new addition Seniors in tight battle
There was nothing easy about this contest for the defending champs, who needed a full out effort to defeat the HBHA Seniors. After grabbing a 2-0 first period lead, the Hawks fell apart early in the second period giving up two quick tallies. But that didn’t stop A.Moscato by regaining control as the forward bagged his second only moments later. The Hawks eventually went up by a pair courtesy of E.Collela’s second bullet. In an effort to battle back, P.Lapointe gave plenty of hope after scoring with seven minutes left in the game. The HBHA Seniors were than awarded a golden four minute power play opportunity with still plenty of time left over. Unable to capitalize, the Hawks defended well getting exceptional goaltending by S.Pare to secure the win.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Tony Settino of the Stones. The Stones won an overtime game versus the Devil Dawgz thanks to a brilliant play by their start player.
