Four goals from J.Sandri powers Les Aces over Butchers
J.Sandri found the back of the net on four occasions and Les Aces can now erase the bad start to the season they had only a week ago. The new addition scored his clubs first three goals for a 3-1 lead after two periods. The Butchers fought back early in the third period nodding a pair of quick tallies by T.Oliveira and M.Zampino but failed to carry the momentum long enough. Les Aces responded with force generating the games next four goals. S.Groulx snapped the 3-3 tie for the winner and D.Brousseau collected a big win in net after facing 22 shots.

Red Nose reel off 4 unanswered goals to rally past Shockers
Y.Gazura started the comeback with a power play goal while setting up two teammates in the span of only three minutes. The Shockers kept the game close trailing by only one and missed a golden chance to even the score after giving up a shorthanded marker. S.Simitsakos scored with a man less and Red Nose regained a two goal cushion with half a period remaining. Seven different players found the back of the net with goals all coming after the mid way point of the match. In the loss, the Shockers tallied twice with the man advantage. C.Debonis and T.Salberg each scored on the power play.

L.Ruiz’s two third period goals lift Lumberjacks to victory
Down 5-4 after two periods, the Lumberjacks stormed back to take the game. L.Ruiz not only tied the match but provided the go ahead marker that ultimately held up for the winner. Most of the goal scoring occurred by the second period with the HitList out dueling the Lumberjacks 4-3.S.Denis and D.Ruiz also scored twice in the win while C.Gingras helped set up four goals. This was the Hit List’s first game of the season, and despite dropping the contest, goal scoring won’t be a problem. L.Richard notched a pair in the loss with the help of Y.Laforest, who had a four point game.

Nighthawks overcome big test vs Brew Crew
It’s still very early in the season but the Nighthawks were pleased to defeat a team like the Brew Crew. Each side carries plenty of experience and quality players that could only suggest for a good battle. The difference occurred by the second period with the Nighthawks winning the frame 3-1.S.Koulieris snapped a 1-1 tie only a minute before P.Charbonneau scored to make it a 3-1 game. Fromm there, the Nighthawks closed off the match with their stubborn defensive style. S.Sauk earned the win in net allowing only one goal by M.Rheaume.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jonathan Sandri of Les Aces. In his first game, J.Sandri made an immediate impact. The forward produced four goals and an assist to help get his club on a winning path.
