Bad starts proves costly for Chiefs

There was just about a minute left in the first period when S.Pare and the Chiefs were ready to play. At that point, the score was already 2-0 due to a pair of team goals along with an automatic delay of game penalty. Regardless the unfortunate start, the Street Ballers still showed that they were the better club. M.Lapierre and M.Martino each scored over a minute apart and the Street Ballers carried a commanding 4-0 lead after two periods. Lapierre went on to add his second to widen the gap, and with just over a minute remaining, P.Cardillo notched the Chiefs lone goal. S.Sauk may have had his shutout taken away but performed extremely well to capture the win.

D.Traversy delivers in one man show

The Werewolves had plenty to cheer about with their go to guy overwhelming the Carnage defense. D.Traversy was absolutely dynamic posting four out of his clubs five goals. The Werewolves didn’t have the better start but surely the better finish after netting three second period tallies as of the mid way point of the match. J.Guerriero, V.Miraldo and P.Stroubakis each collected two helpers. Carnage had their best moments in the first period when A.Hakim and M.St-Laurent scored only 20 seconds apart.

Deadlast wait for last period to down French Connection

Similar to the Chiefs vs Street Ballers contest, the French Connection found themselves without a goaltender till sometime between the five and ten minute mark. That made the score 1-0 in favor of Deadlast who went on to add another goal by their leader C.Zafiropoulos before the frame ended. With the second period slightly favoring the French Connection, the final frame couldn’t be said the same. Deadlast put the match away riffling three unanswered goals. P.Elizardo buried his second and G.Lallis bagged a power play marker for a three goal cushion. It’s not often that the French Connection are limited to only three goals in a game, but that’s maybe got to do with the fact that J.Sanoudakis was solid between the pipes.

7-0 rout, B.Deslauriers dazzles with hat trick

B.Deslauriers, often referred to many as a goal scoring machine was in his usual form posting another one of many hat tricks. The sniper opened the scoring and notched goals in every frame to provide a decisive result over the struggling Eagles. P.E.Y.O netted goals on both sides of their special teams. Deslauriers riffled a shorthanded marker while producing a power play goal as well. J.Courteau isn’t a stranger either to finding the back of the net as the right handed sniper collected two more goals. The Eagles didn’t fire too many shots, and couldn’t get at least one by S.Brown, who earned a 14 save shutout.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Dave Traversy of the Werewolves. Unable to be contained, the sharp shooter provided most of the offense with an impressive four goal game.
