The Jets have been struggling all season to get some scoring done but finally saw some positives in the third period where they riffled four tallies. (1)Underdogs vs Punishers(5)
Underdogs give up two shorthanded goals in 5-1 loss
It’s a part of the game that no matter the situation is simply unacceptable. While it can happen once randomly, twice was too much of a price to pay for the Underdogs, who gave up back to back shorthanded goals in only 75 seconds. The Punishers led by a slight 2-1 margin before S.Bentivegna and C.Gingras each scored with the man short. Those tallies occurred late in the second period giving the Punishers enough of a 4-1 lead heading into the final frame. With the game pretty much out of reach, J.Fidrilis put a stamp on it with a lone third period goal. The Punishers continue to ride high as they still occupy first place with a 6-1 record.
