A.Watts shines in limited duty

Even without their regular goaltender gone for a couple of weeks, it can’t be easy for a Brewers backup to be fresh. However, lo and behold A.Watts lived up to the hype on Friday night. Apart fromm the opening goal, the Hawks had to work hard to get the better of Watts and a depleted Brewers side. This was a game that wasn’t anywhere close to be being easy. If not for a solid four minute sequence, the Hawks may have gone empty handed. But with the help of A.Zarzour’s two quick tallies, the Hawks felt the tension drop knowing that their opponent would struggle to keep up. E.Capalbo and J.Melo collected three points each. Despite the loss, A.Lanni looked like the energizer bunny as the pest never stopped running creating plenty of turnovers.

Stones build confidence with win over HBHA Seniors

The Stones couldn’t ask for a better time during the season to earn a big win versus a front runner. It wasn’t pretty, and by far not easy, but the Stones did that one extra thing to get the job done. Of course T.Settino needed to be involved as the slick cornerstone player made plenty happen. After bagging two goals in less than a minute, Settino went on to set up three tallies. Y.Mouchaca benefited twice while R.Kilgour got the other. Each sided entered the final frame leveled at five goals apiece. The Stones stormed early on bagging two straight markers that included the eventual winner by A.Ferro. The HBHA Seniors normally defend better but struggled on this rare occasion. In the loss, G.Kamvosoulis scored twice while J.Bolanakis chipped away collecting four points.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Tony Settino of the Stones. Arguably one the best players of the division, T.Settino carried his club producing two goals and three helpers versus a solid HBHA Seniors side.
