SBS Trashers score 2 power play goals in 4-1 win

Riding a pair of power play goals, the SBS Trashers took full advantage in their 4-1 win over the Spartans. It was the captain once again that got things going. E.Panzera opened the scoring and picked up two assists to lead all teammates. The Spartans had just come off a scoring spree against the Street Ballers but saw their offense hit a wall on this night except for one time when S.Dion beat R.Pampena early in the second period. This contest had its difficult moments with both sides going through a penalty parade by the third period. In the end, the SBS Trashers found a way to win but it wasn’t anyway close as the Spartans are showing that they can challenge with anyone.

Three second period goals lifts Street Ballers to first win of the season

The Street Ballers were finally able to end a losing drought by using a big second period to get past Carnage. E.Garon, A.Papazian and A.Jalbert all scored during that time to put their club up 3-1. But that didn’t discourage Carnage from-fighting back as M.Pace tallied late in the frame to pull his team within one. With still plenty of time to decide the outcome, both sides traded third period goals which didn’t have the Street Ballers complaining whatsoever. This result puts three teams tied at three points each with identical records.

Dragons make statement in 9-3 thrashing of Bramabulls

Just short of the opening period, the Bramabulls never knew what hit them. The Dragons powered five first period goals for a commanding 5-1 lead that was more than enough considering the way the game was going. Despite the terrible start, the Bramabulls went on to lose that last two frames getting limited scoring. While finding the back of the net wasn’t an issue for the Dragons, N.Goncalves continues to impress striking four times. A.Zarzour helped as well collecting a pair of markers while A.Porfido was electric accumulating five points. This was the Bramabulls first loss, but an ugly one considering the lineup they have.

Deadlast late rally comes up short in loss to Raging Rhinos

A 2-0 lead heading into the third period should be safe. But for the Raging Rhinos it nearly wasn’t on Thursday night. Deadlast scored all there three tallies in that period alone only to fall short in the end. E.Leblanc regained the lead with his second that snapped a 2-2 tie and his captain T.Georgaros provided a two goal cushion with just over three minutes remaining. Deadlast weren’t don’t yet at that point by notching a late goal by J.Skafidas, who still gave hope with 80 seconds left on the clock. Unfortunately, the comeback effort ran out of race track for Deadlast, who know they will do fine in the division despite their 0-2 start to the season.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Nelson Goncalves of the Dragons. The sharp shooter struck four times to collect his seventh goal in only two games.
