Both sides’ mini streaks come to an end

M.Trudel had two goals and an assist and M.Dupuis added a hat trick to help lead Les Raymonds to a 7-5 victory over Les Agents Libre. Les Raymonds had their best moments in the second period where they posted four tallies to build a slight two goal cushion. He didn’t score but S.Lecavalier helped set up three goals for Les Raymonds that collected a win after a two game slump. Les Agents Libre got another solid night-from T.Oliveira. The spark plug participated in all five goals that included feeds on L.DeCubellis’s two tallies. After putting together a couple of straight wins, Les Agents Libre saw their little streak come to an end on this night.

(3)Publiks Crew vs Hellfish(9)

Slight surge not enough for Publikis Crew

Despite battling back with a three goal surge, the Publikis Crew wasn’t able to carry their momentum by the third period. The Hellfish may have felt comfortable once they made the score 5-0, but that didn’t settle well with them by the end of the frame. The Publiks Crew never called it quits by responding with two goals by E.Skotidakis and a tally-from S.Racicot. Unable to close the gap, the third period belonged only to the Hellfish. S.Monnet and D.Laurin made sure to not take things for granted as both players celebrated hat tricks. Still without a win in four starts, the Publiks Crew will hope to end that streak when facing Les Raymond’s in next week’s match up.

Four goal third period by Bramabulls edged by Horsemen

With the Bramabulls trying to erase a 3-0 deficit after two periods, J.Palmitano’s two goals along with L.Mancini’s and M.Mignogna’s markers wasn’t enough as the Horsemen held on for the tight win. It’s usually better to start strong rather than to finish strong as the Horsemen were glad to play solid for two periods. The win came with the help of S.Giannakis’s two third period goals. The Horsemen made the score 3-0 after the ten minute mark of the opening frame. That cushion was sufficient for most of the game which barely held up in the end. The Bramabulls just suffered their second straight loss and won’t be happy if things don’t change in next week’s battle with the MTL Huskies.

Mtl Huskies prove a point by edging out division leaders

When observing the stats and standing- from the surface, no one would have thought that this result would occur. The Brew Crew entered the night with a perfect 3-0 start to the season having allowed only three goals while the Mtl Huskies have yet to taste a victory. But that all changed on this night. With still plenty to prove, the Mtl Huskies just sent a serious message that they will be able to compete with everyone after this strong performance. And it all started with leadership as the captain R.Estrela grabbed the torch posting two first period goals. Both sides played to a 3-3 second period tie that left a 15 minute or more period to see which streak would come to an end. After trading goals early in the frame, it was F.Reda’s second tally of the game that made the whole difference. The Mtl Huskies rode out half a period at that point not conceding a goal en route to getting that monkey off their back.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Francesco Reda of the Mtl Huskies. In time of need, the Mtl Huskies forward was clutch snapping a 4-4 third period tie to collect his third point of the game and providing a first win for his club.
