New addition V.Parise stuns Punishers with five points

What a difference one player can make. Les Carmoni de Fabreville had a difficult challenge ahead of them but managed to stun their opponent thanks to the impact put forth by V.Parise. From-the start of the game, the new addition quarterbacked his team and collected two points en route to a 3-1 win. P.Corbin gave up only one goal on 18 shots which is hard to do considering how much the Punishers have been scoring this season. In hopes of bouncing back in the second encounter, the Punishers saw their late lead answered when the very same V.Parise came to haunt them. After collecting two points, Parise used hard low wrist shot to level the game and force the shootout. It was only fitting at that point that V.Parise was able to get one in the shootouts as the only player to get the better of F.Russo. The Punishers also scored once courtesy of A.Dayan, who continues to rack up the points finishing his game with one goal and an assist. It’s not often the Punishers don’t win at least one in a double mini game format but tonight that was the case having collected only one out of a possible six points.

Fire Breathers use late push to salvage two points

For well over three consecutive periods, the Firebreathers were nowhere to be seen in their two matchups with the 1 Timer. With the first game ending in a convincing fashion, the 1 Timer just carried on the same way in the second game leading 2-0 at one point. It was by then that the Firebreathers decided to finally wake up. M.Crapis ended a very long dry spell that finally made F.Koch look behind him. The 1 Timer did respond right away to regain a two goal cushion but that lasted only so long as S.Fraga scored late in the frame to pull within one. Still, the Firebreathers didn’t like their situation trailing this contest after dropping the opening game 5-0.And just when you thought they were out and done with, G.DeMarinis came through with a brilliant second effort. That goal enabled his club to win the breakaways courtesy of a lone goal by M.Crapis. It wasn’t the best way to end their night but the 1 Timer won’t be complaining too much. The good news for them was that P-A Surprenant played for a first time this season and showed that he hasn’t missed a beat notching two quick goals while adding an assist. E.Leblond was very productive as well striking on three occasions.

Team X bounce back to end slump vs Stones

Unhappy with the way things have been going as of late, Team X made it a point to show up and play a full out miniseries with their rival opponent. Although it wasn’t their best start having conceded an early goal, the men in yellow weren’t fazed as they slowly but surely got their wheels going. A.Lanni and S.Marricco provided much of the offense in the opening contest bagging two goals apiece. Once Team X took their lead, the focus was to simply not give the Stones any sort of space to create their chances. And while they did that, P.Assadi had his job simplified as the net minder made sure to push everything-from the outside. The second game was somewhat similar to the first one. This time, the Stones grabbed an early 2-0 lead only to see the same sort result occur. At no point did Team X decide to call it quits as they just continued to battle in hopes of getting rewarded .By the end of the first period, the tides had turned and Team X was able to carry a 3-2 lead heading into the last frame of the night. Those three consecutive markers fuelled everyone to push even harder which resulted in a total of seven unanswered goals. Once again, S.Marricco struck twice while A.Zarzour did the same. After missing some action in three weeks, J.Melo showed no signs of rust earning five points.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Vincent Parise of Les Carmoni de Fabreville. In his season debut, V.Parise provided more than his fair share to help lead his club with five points and the shootout winning goal.
