(1)Spartans vs SBS Trashers(10)
SBS Trashers crush depleted Spartans
The SBS Trashers thought they would have an easy night, and although they did in the end, it wasn’t till the mid way point where the goals just kept coming in. S.Roussel gave every fighting chance to keep the game respectable as the goaltender was sensational making jaw breaking saves. But how much can one person take. Once the third period hit, the Spartans couldn’t keep up anymore. P.Nadeau scored two quick goals to complete a hat trick and P.Hodhod still found a way to add to his goal total by adding two more tallies. If knowing in advance that the SBS Trashers would have scored ten goals, then it would have been safe to say that J.Guerriero and Joseph Scalia would have had a major hand in it but it wasn’t the case as only one goal went in-from the two snipers.
(1)Street Ballers vs Carnage(5)
C.Kalogeropoulos natural hat trick leads Carnage over Street Ballers
In the second period alone, C.Kalogeropoulos looked like nobody could have touched him. The Carnage forward netted three straight tallies to earn a natural hat trick and provide a comfortable 4-0 lead after two periods. Everything went as perfect as can be for Carnage on this night. The only slight let down occurred by the four minute mark of the third period where F.Laurin spoiled B.Madonis’s shutout. But apart-from that, F.Pace and his troops were pleased with the overall performance. The captain set the tone by riffling a power play marker while J.DiMarco capped off the scoring to secure a convincing 5-1 win.
(1)Dragons vs Bramabulls(8)
Dragons spanked by Bramabulls
With the potential of having a solid game between both these teams, this contest was a total bust in the end. Yes, the Dragons can argue that they were short but the result was still nasty nevertheless. B.Sansotta , M.DiSalvio and D.Verta provided much of the offence collecting two goals each. The Bramabulls led 4-0 after two periods and G.Follano had only one thing in mind at that point which was a shutout. Unfortunately, the goaltender did concede one tally that came on the Dragons power play courtesy of S.Koulieris.
(1)Raging Rhinos vs Deadlast(6)
J.Pantelis sparks hat trick, F.Vigliotti loses out on shutout
After storming out of the gate with three first period goals, Deadlast sent a message that they won’t be dictated by their opponent. Y.Gazura set up all three first period markers as part of a five point night. J.Pantelis benefited all three times from Gazura, and P.Elizardo was in the mix as well as all three players clicked for ten points. Unable to get anything going up front, the Raging Rhinos saw their dry offence strike only once that came late in the game. F.Vigliotti, despite winning the contest left with a bitter taste in his mouth knowing that he was just a minute away-from recording a shutout.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Yuri Gazura of Deadlast. The forward dished out five passes to help set up most of his teams goals in a 6-1 win over the Raging Rhinos.
