(3)Street Ballers vs SBS Trashers(7)
Early deficit dooms Street Ballers
The SBS Trashers scored two very early goals and the Street Ballers knew they had a big hill to climb. For two straight periods, the SBS Trashers controlled the game putting themselves in a very comfortable situation with a 5-0 lead. The Street Ballers did show some life by the third stringing three straight markers but the Trashers took back control when Joseph Scalia and M.Panarello each scored their second of the match to cap off the night. V.Mancini notched a pair passed R.Pampena, who had a fairly easy game having faced only 17 shots. The SBS Trashers will take the division with only one game left and will hope for some payback against Carnage in next week’s battle that beat them in their last encounter.
(8)Bramabulls vs Deadlast(7)
Bramabulls outlast Deadlast in high scoring affair
It was just one of those games that neither side could have known who would win till the final buzzer rang. After trading the same amount of goals in the opening two frames, the Bramabulls just kept their foot on the gas and managed to outlast their opponent by winning the final frame 3-2.Quiet for most of the night, at least on the score sheet, D.Verta collected only two points out of the Bramabulls eight goals that included the winner. J.DeSua and M.DiSalvio carried some of the offense netting two goals each in the win while A.Jalilvand, Y.Gazura and his captain C.Zafiropoulos all tallied twice for Deadlast.
(7)Dragons vs Raging Rhinos(5)
A.Zarzour on a tear ripping 4 goals
A.Zarzour had an incredible night to help lead the Dragons over the Raging Rhinos. The veteran had a hot hand that boiled into four consecutive goals for his club. His onslaught provided a 4-2 lead and the Dragons just fed off it finishing the second period up 6-2.It came a little late but the Raging Rhinos found their game by the third where they struck three straight times to pull within one. That momentum left half a period remaining which gave more than enough time for an equalizer. However, the next goal belonged to F.Casacalenda of the Dragons, an unlikely goal scorer that provided a two goal cushion and the last goal of the night.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Andre Zarzour of the Dragons. Still showing that he’s got it, the right handed magician bagged an impressive four straight goals for his club in the Dragons 7-5 win over the Raging Rhinos.
