Smackdaddys (2) VS Venom (0) Game 1
Smackdaddys mean all business in game 1 of finals.
From the initial ball drop, the Smackdaddys showed they were here to play some hard hockey. Never once did they back down from going into the boards and battling hard for each ball. J. Langlois was the first to solve C. Stavriadis with a shot from the hashmarks. As both teams continued to play hard R. Jean-Baptiste gave his side a little breathing room with scoring a shorty and securing the win.
Smackdaddys (2) VS Venom (3) Game 2
Venom finally able to solve Y. Hassani.
With only a short break between both games Venom needed a game plan to be able to beat Y. Hassani. The game brought forth a lot of back in forth between both clubs who each exchanged goals in the first two periods. With the score tied at two goals a piece, T. Bozinakis solved Y. Hassani for his second goal of the night ensuring his club was still alive in the series.
Smackdaddys (2) VS Venom (0) Game 3
Final fifteen minutes of the season is a nail bitter.
With only fifteen minutes left for both sides to capture the gold, both teams needed to leave everything on the table to make sure they did not have any regrets. As time clicked down the Smackdaddys took advantage of their opportunity burying their most important goal all season long credited to E. Germain. Captain K. Arsenault put the nail in the coffin with less than a minute left scoring the empty netter and insuring his club won it all.
Hockeyballe.com would like to congratulate K. Arsenault and the rest of the Smackdaddys for winning the D Wednesday division. Three hard fought games provided them with the cup.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Y. Hassani of the Smackdaddys. In an intense battle for gold, where both teams could have scored a multitude of goals, Y. Hassani stopped almost everything his way. Allowing just two goals on sixty shots.
