Chiefs ugly week continues

The Chiefs are nowhere close to how they started their season. They just went up against one of the strongest teams in the division and got handed another beat down. As much as it was close for half the game, it was just a question of time before the Bramabulls started to connect. C.Pisanelli and T.Karasek notched two very quick goals and all of a sudden the game went from-close to out of reach. N.Sbrarra then made matters worse with his second of the contest putting his club up 5-1 after two periods. The Chiefs did beat C.Muccino twice-from far but struggled to get him up close where they missed some golden opportunities. P.Santullo and K.Araujo combined with four points in the loss.

Werewolves prey on depleted line up

With a chance to get in the win column, the situation was presented to the Werewolves having to go up against a thinning line up. It took only eight minutes- from the opening draw to convince everyone that the end result was written on the wall. Three goals had gone it at that point. C.Siconolfi used his speed burning his way to four goals. Next in line were P.Stroubakis and A.Zarzour as each player scored twice. Carnage did get at least one by P.Turturici, who will wonder all week why he couldn't have stopped it to earn a shutout. A.Sonny was that player to solve the Werewolve net minder that came just after Carnage trailed 3-0.

P.Chartier scores two third period goals as Mighty Drunks edge United Arms

Sometimes it's all about timing. P.Chartier was there when his team needed him the most posting two key goals to edge out a resilient hockey team. His tallies came three and a half minutes apart into the third period with the help of V.Mancini, who collected three helpers over the course of the match. This was a contest that could have easily gone the other way considering how well the United Arms have picked up their game. As long as they keep battling hard, most teams will learn how difficult the challenge will be. As for the Mighty Drunks, this result puts them back on track after sliding their last two games.

Mohicans bloom with late tally by M.Lachartie

A 3-0 lead after one period was almost not good enough for the Mohicans. Sometimes that kind of a cushion tends to make teams complacent or the Raging Rhinos were just that good to overcome the deficit. Whatever the reasons, the Mohicans capped off the night with the final word. The contest appeared to be headed for overtime up until M.Lachartie broke a high scoring 5-5 tie. His tally left just over a minute in the game which by that point the Mohicans simply played out the time. The win came with the help of two power play goals by S.Brisson and J.Surprenant  along with balanced scoring that involved six different players. The Raging Rhinos relied on their scoring-from J.Tzanetakos and J.Hlopasko as both players each scored twice. With this result, the Mohicans are the only team yet to taste defeat in a division of ten teams.

(7)SBS Trashers vs Ottarks(6)

J.Guerriero four goal binge hands Ottarks first loss of season

J.Guerriero had a memorable night despite having done what he did a few times already. His four goal output helped lead his club over a team that won't be losing too many games this season. And while he may deserve all the acolytes, his line mates J.Scalia and M.Panarello had plenty to do with his success. That trio clicked all game long making the Ottarks defence play on their heels unable to contain the pressure. The SBS Trashers looked like they were hungrier and wanted nothing more than to prove that they can defeat anyone on any given night. For now, they look hot and got it done without two key components.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes Joe Guerriero of the SBS Trashers. After using his wicked slap shots, the sniper blasted four goals along with a helper to hand the Ottarks their first loss of the season.
