Punishers break out of slump with romp over Anonymous

Stuck in a losing funk, the Punishers desperately needed these two games to rebuild their shaken psyche. They managed to restore their confidence by getting break out games-from every single player involved. First and foremost, P.Stamkopoulos couldn't have had a better night collecting back to back shutouts after receiving a total of 20 shots. But as much as goaltending was a factor, the real story was the offense. In both games, the Punishers had everything going for them notching eleven unanswered markers that had the contest end earlier than usual because of the seven goal mercy rule. S.Bentivegna was the only player to score twice in one game as many others chipped in to get the better of M.DelGaudio. Both these wins will help the Punishers as they look to turn things around after a very slow start to the season.

Dragons catch 1 Timer off guard twice

If a slow start to their night wasn't bad enough, the second period proved to be just as sour for the 1 Timer. The Dragons caught their opponent off guard building a 3-1 first period lead before taking advantage of an unfortunate penalty. In the span of only four minutes, the Dragons produced three straight power play goals, and the 1 Timer only had the thought on how to rebound in their second match up. Unfortunately, the storyline remained the same with the Dragons putting forth a similar performance. D.Rollin just came off a three point game and wasn't done yet setting up three different teammates before striking for a commanding 4-1 lead. G.DeMarinis scored twice and the Dragons were on their way to a pair of victories. There was no optimism on this night for the 1 Timer. After submitting two slow starts, the men in orange couldn't recover against a team that will make anyone pay when they play with the lead.

Breeze Panareeze and Nightmares clash in marquee match up

With both teams brimming with confidence and poise, tonight's battle was more than just a game. Both sides are extremely familiar with one another which can only elevate everyone's game with so much pride on the line. However, it was the Breeze Panareeze jumping off to the better start. The men in yellow sparked three first period goals and were able to protect it due to their solid net minder between the pipes. M.Dagenais stoned and frustrated the Nightmares for a very long stretch before E.Allen final got to him. But by then, it proved to be a little too late for the comeback. The Breeze Panareeze got two goals and a helper by J.Pantelis to put an end to the first of two matches. The second contest was nearly identical to the first one with the only difference being that the Breeze Panareeze couldn't shut the door tight enough. Down 4-1 and with only two minutes remaining, the Nightmares woke up from-their deep sleep to stun their rival. D.Bertrand scored two quick goals to complete a hat trick and J.Rochon beat the clock by only two seconds to send the match in a shootout. Because both goaltenders were that good on this night, O.Caillet and M.Dagenais denied all three shot attempts in the shootout. It was a night that both sides grabbed some positives. The Breeze Panareeze had a near perfect display of hockey except for the final two minutes where the Nightmares showed how explosive they can be no matter what the situation.
