V.Mancini scores 5 goals as Mighty Drunks crush Ottarks

V.Mancini took his scoring prowess to yet another level on Thursday, hitting a personal high with five goals in a 7-3 rout of the Ottarks. The sniper celebrated posting four straight markers and added his fifth by the third period to hit a remarkable feat. The Ottarks played well in the first half with the game tied 2-2, but couldn't keep up giving up the next five of six goals. With this result, both sides find themselves heading in opposite directions. The Mighty Drunks just collected their third straight win while the Ottarks dropped their last three contests after starting with a perfect 3-0 record.

Power play goals in third period carry Raging Rhinos past Bramabulls

The confidence and chemistry of the Raging Rhinos power play was in top form against the Bramabulls. Three out of their six goals came with the man advantage on only four attempts. Each side played to a 4-4 second period tie before the Raging Rhinos made the Bramabulls pay on two occasions. J.Tzanetakos provided a two goal cushion and the Raging Rhinos looked to be in fine shape till P.Charbonneau responded with a hat trick for the Bramabulls. With a chance to even the score, M.Diaco failed to capitalise on a breakaway. B.Verducci never flinched and read the play properly to make a game changing save.

United Arms climb out of basement, keep Carnage winless

It's now the mid way point of the season and neither team has yet to collect a win. And by the way this game was going, that scenario remained very possible with the game tied after two periods. But eventually something had to give and the United Arms found a way to win one frame that finally put them in the win column. A.Belcher snapped a 3-3 third period tie on the power play and G.Jerjian erased all doubts when he bagged two late tallies completing his hat trick to ensure his club the victory. A.Daghlian had a strong start striking twice while collecting an assist. The only good thing Carnage had working for them was their five man unit. S.Longo scored twice with the man advantage while his captain F.Pace participated in all four goals.

X factor X.Aubin rattles the Chiefs with seven points

The Mohicans can always rely on X.Aubin, at least in tonight's case. His sensational display crushed the Chiefs on Thursday night, especially by the third period where he exploded with four unanswered goals. Prior to that point, Aubin scored once while setting up two teammates. By the time the Chiefs realised what was going on, the damage had already been done. Despite the ugly score, this contest was only 4-3 after two periods. It was by the third where the younger legs took over en route to a perfect 4-0 record.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to X.Aubin of the Mohicans. From-the get go, X.Aubin was absolutely lights out sparking five goals in a seven point performance.

S.Labrecque, S.Pilon and A.Papazian make Mighty Drunks feel hangover

It didn't matter that the Raging Rhinos had only two spares on a Saturday afternoon.After thirteen minutes into the game, the score was already 6-2 and the Mighty Drunks had only themselves to blame. Perhaps it was a lack of focus or just taking things for granted. Whatever the reasons, the Raging Rhinos played it smart and capitalised eleven times on 35 shots. S.Labrecque and S.Pilon had explosive four goal games and A.Papazian was right behind them posting a hat trick. In the end, it came down to those three players making the entire difference. It's not often that only three players will find the back of the net on eleven goals.

Mohicans don't measure up in real test

While things are going extremely well so for the Mohicans, this contest was a perfect measuring stick to see how they would fair in the E Thursday division. In order to beat the Bramabulls, simply means that you can challenge with the best of them. The match was close for the most part up until a third period breakout by the Bramabulls left the Mohicans hanging. Five different players took charge in the final frame that included three helpers-from G.Pisanelli and a game winning power play goal by P.Bertone. The Mohicans scored twice in only 90 seconds to take a 2-1 lead heading into the third period until falling apart. Prior to the match, the Mohicans were the only team in the division without a loss.

Y.Leroux celebrates four goals in double up win over Arms

Give him the ball and the odds are good of something happening. Y.Leroux often makes the right play and when given the chance, he will certainly make anyone pay. The United Arms found this out after the a devastating second period where Leroux struck three times in only five minutes to collect his fourth goal of the day. By that time, the game was out of reach and the Werewolves dictated the pace in their favor. The United Arms did have a solid finish posting two third period goals by Y.Derohannessian, who collected three points in the loss.
