With a Tuesday night game on the docket, Primetime showed up with a short bench, Les Raymonds took advantage of the following scoring a quick goal from J. Flynn. As Primetime entered the final frame of the game they slowly started to take advantage of their chances scoring three unanswered goals to take the lead. C. Flikas, C. Dapoulias, and T. Sourias each helped their team gain the lead and gain momentum going into the playoffs.

Fat Cats (3) VS Deadlast (0)

Giancarlo Sangiovanni stops every shot he faces to earn a shutout.

An early start to the night puts the Fat Cats in good position for the rest of the game. As J. Scalia and M. Elfassy each found a way to solve J. Sanoudakis. With a two-goal lead, Deadlast put everything they got trying to score a goal to cut the lead down to half, but with no success. G. Sangiovanni shut the door the entire game to deny every single opportunity the opposition had to score. G. Bampos secured the win and put the game away scoring an empty netter.

Les Raymonds (3) VS Hellfish (6)

Fatigue showed for Les Raymonds who played an hour earlier.

After just playing an hour earlier, fatigue showed in Les Raymonds game, the team was not as fast on the forecheck and allowed Hellfish to run around a bit. The Hellfish took advantage of the situation and doubled up their opponent with a team effort as five different players scored. C. Fragkiudakis was the sole player from Hellfish that found the back of the net twice for his club.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Giancarlo Sangiovanni of the Fat Cats. The netminder stood tall in front of every shot he faced and insured nothing got by him in the last game of the season.

The F3 division regular season came to an end on Tuesday night. With Fat Cats and Deadlast capturing first and second place respectively, they will be the only two teams to skip the opening round and head off straight to the semi finals. The first round match ups are as follows:

Hellfish (3) VS RBK Knights (6)The RBK Knights will need to step up defensively and play a solid game the entire time with all five guys coming back to help out. S. Sauk will have his hands full all night stopping the many offensive weapons Hellfish has if RBK Knights wish to move on to the next round.

Primetime (4) VS Les Raymonds (5)Les Raymonds do not have to look far to find and learn from their mistakes from the previous night if they wish to succeed and move on to the next round. If Primetime shows up with their entire bench, Les Raymonds will have to play a near perfect game.

Wednesday December 6

(10)Venom vs Bramabulls(6)

Venom storm out of the gates

Starting their night off with a bang was clearly on the to do list for Venom. The Bramabulls proved to be not much of an opponent though, as a four goal difference speaks for itself. There was plenty of trouble-from the get go with Venom striking four times in the first period. It was a night that the Quesnel-Vinet brothers stole the show. The siblings racked up three goals each doing most of the damage. In addition to their onslaught, J.Parisella buried a pair and Y.Gazura was very productive accumulating six points. This wasn't the type of game a team like the Bramabulls were expecting. They dropped the contest with a more or less complete line up versus a side missing more players. The only good news is that they have a whole week to regroup and figure out what went wrong in order to be prepared for the playoffs.

(3)Horsemen vs Armadillos(5)

Armadillos quick start pays dividends

Instead of relying on playing a vital third period like they have done for most of the season, the Armadillos decided to start off strong. There 3-0 lead helped avoid some drama but not to its entirety. The Horsemen battled back winning a huge second frame all thanks to M.Mamoulides's natural hat trick. However, G.Bouchard scored once for the Armadillos, who still had the luxury of playing with the lead in the last 15 minutes of play. In a desperate attempt to tie the game, the Horsemen hit a massive wall named C.Stavriadis. The net minder remained calm despite all the pressure his way and was absolutely stellar keeping the Horsemen off board. G.Bouchard secured all doubts by hitting an empty cage for his second of the night.

The F2 Wednesday regular season came to an end. Four teams will head straight to a best of three semi finals. The Match ups are as follows:

(1)Armadillos vs Horsemen(4) They haven't lost till now and don't plan on doing so anytime soon. As long as the Horsemen keep the games close, than anything is possible as the little details will determine who comes out on top.

(2)Venom vs Bramabulls(3) Despite coming off a 10-6 win, Venom need to put that behind them quickly. The Bramabulls will be much better when it counts and Venom have to expect a playoff style match up in order to pass.

F3 Division Round 1

(8)Primetime vs Les Raymonds(1)

Short bench leads to expected result

For whatever reason, Les Raymonds didn't have the ammunition to compete with a better prepared Primetime line up. Even though it was only after one period, Primetime knew they were advancing to the next round. C.Dapoulias used a power play goal for a 3-0 lead after eleven minutes which felt like a massive margin considering how many players Les Raymonds had. Out of their eight goals, four players each scored twice to take care of the offense. Those four players were T.Flikas, N.Pacheco, C.Dapoulias and L.Haouzi. Les Raymonds got their lone tally on the power play courtesy of J.Flynn, as the only player to solve A.Qureshi.

(7)Hellfish vs RBK Knights(1)

Playoff pedigree comes to life for Hellfish

If experience and winning in the past means anything than this result justifies why the Hellfish should be moving forward. At no point were the Hellfish in any danger during this contest. From the get go, they set the tone and won every single frame allowing only one goal that had no threat whatsoever. D.Ugaldez and M.Kardum riffled a pair and B.Verducci was grateful for having a committed defence in front of him. This was that one round that good teams would like to avoid. The Hellfish didn't have their best regular season but managed to get back in top form during the latter part of it as they seek only one thing in the end.

The F3 division will now have only four teams left over to see who will reach the finish line. The semi final match ups are as follows:

(1)Fat Cats vs Primetime(4) Surely one loss in ten games will suggest that the Fat Cats should win. But Primetime won't go down that easy and could make things very interesting with some of the fire power they have. Anything is possible at this time of year.

(2)Deadlast vs Hellfish(3)It's a battle that involves two teams with some recent success. Deadlast dominated the goals for category by a landslide which is always good to have. However, defence and goaltending win championships and the Hellfish are solid in both those categories with B.Verducci between the pipes. It should come down to limited amount of mistakes as both sides are evenly matched.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Guillaume Bouchard of the Armadillos. Game in and game out, G.Bouchard dictates the pace better than any other defenseman. By controlling the ball so effortlessly, the skilled d-man produced four points that included the winner in a close 5-3 win over the Horsemen.
