(1)Mighty Drunks vs Les Rouuuges(3)
Les Rouuuges hose down red hot Mighty Drunks
All streaks have to come to an end sometime, and for the Mighty Drunks, that time was against Les Rouuuges on Thursday night. By getting the games first two goals along with a solid goaltender in P.Turturici , the order was a tall one for the Mighty Drunks to try and bounce back. They did manage to cut the lead in half early in the second period but that's all they had to show for the rest of the way. Les Rouuuges committed to a full 45 minute effort, and by doing so, justice was served. A.Zarzour, J.Hassan and N.Zahabi each scored in the win while F.Bchara set up his clubs first two goals.
(7)Carnage vs Chaos(4)
Chaos surrenders four third period goals to remain winless
S.Longo turned on quite a style striking four times to help lead his club past Chaos. The forward launched a devastating third period display where he bagged three out of his four goals. For a rare time this season, Chaos found themselves up 4-3 after two periods. They showed a lot more bite in their game getting balanced scoring-from four different players. Unfortunately, they weren't able to hold up for the duration of the contest. The downfall began as early as the second minute of the frame when S.Longo got his wheels rolling. Carnage would eventually grab the lead minutes later thanks to S.Giannoulakis, and put the match to rest with S.Longo's last two tallies.
(4)SBS Trashers vs Nighthawks (7)
Nighthawks top Trashers with all out effort
No matter what the situation, the Nighthawk knew that a full out effort was required in order to defeat the SBS Trashers. Even though they led by a pair and at one point by three goals, this game was far-from being over. Surely it helps when the net minder is up for the challenge. R.Ranieri had one of those nights where he could o no wrong. The SBS Trashers peppered him with plenty of shots and only beat him with quality chances. But as much as the goaltending was necessary, the Nighthawks did have their offence and tight defence make the difference as well. M.Destounis scored a highlight reel goal showing incredible patience with barely any angle to put the ball in the net. He was the only player to score twice out of the seven goals, and did it in his first game of the season.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Sonny Anthony Longo of Carnage. If not for his four goals, Carnage would have most likely given Chaos heir first win of the season. The forward came through by the third period bagging three goals to overcome a 4-3 deficit.
