Winter Soldiers pull away-from Raymonds in third period

After Les Raymonds evened the score in the second period, the Winter Soldiers responded with three straight by the third to pull away for a 5-2 victory. C.Kakivelis struck early, and J.Mckenzie took advantage of a power play only minutes later coming through with a very big goal. That was McKenzie's first of two with the second one feeding an empty cage. The game saw a seesaw battle for two frames but that all changed when the game mattered the most in the final fifteen minutes. The Winter Soldiers got better as the game went, and ultimately got what they deserved.

Third period scare nearly haunts Golden Knights

Wins aren't coming easy for the Golden Knights, who nearly endured a haunting finish. Down 5-1 after two periods, the Horsemen nearly staged a comeback that would have left long term psychological ramifications for the Golden Knights. Instead, despite giving up three in a row, the Golden Knights fought to kill off five long minutes to secure a nail biter. For a rare time this season, a full roster dressed that saw five different player's find the back of the net. And even though he didn't score, R.Ricard had a major role in the win as the skilled forward set up three teammates. The Horsemen dropped the ball in the second period and early in the final frame where they couldn't get anything going.

Tight checking game ends with Team Haiti on top

Both sides did an excellent job closing off the shooting lanes which explained a very low scoring affair. After continuing a 1-1 stalemate heading into the third, J.Benel came through for Team Haiti. The HBHA Masters were the first to strike early in the game but found themselves snake bitten unable to get a second goal. What made this result remarkable for Team Haiti was that they did it with only eight players dressed. D.Vericain was responsible for two big plays that included his clubs first goal and the set up for Benel's winner.

(6)Kentucky Blue vs Hellfish(1)

T.Oliveira knows how to finish

T.Oliveira took his scoring prowess to another level on Wednesday night netting an impressive five goals to help thrash the Hellfish. However, his madness only took over as of the second period. After snapping a 1-1 tie on the power play, T.Oliveira buried four more as the only player to score for the two sides from-that point on. Perhaps the Hellfish should have paid more attention to Oliveira, but by the time they would have figured it out, this contest would have been done with. L.DeCubellis and A.Franceschini chipped in with a pair of assists each while P.Delli Colli recorded the win in net allowing only one goal on 21 shots.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Tyson Oliveira of the Kentucky Blue. The forward had an extraordinary night bagging five straight goals en route to a 6-1 win over the Hellfish.

Kentucky Blue use 4 goal first period to blow by Les Raymonds

Throughout two periods, the Kentucky Blue held a 6-1 lead on Les Raymonds. They scored four of those goals in the opening period and only gave up their first marker by the later stages of the second frame. Until that point, six different players got a taste at finding the back of the net with James Tutino being one of those players who went on to add a couple more to complete his hat trick by the third. The Kentucky Blue played the night before coming off a convincing 6-1 win and showed no signs of slowing down in this contest with Les Raymonds.
