(6)Bramabulls vs JLR Brossard(8)
JLR Brossard get final say in back and forth battle with Bramabulls
The JLR Brossard and the Bramabulls simply went at it on Thursday night. Unfortunately for the net minders, they had to endure back and forth high quality chances that resulted in plenty of goals. Both sides may have been missing players but the playing field was pretty even with only seven players dressed. These are the type of games that players such as G.Pisanelli has a pleasure with. By playing plenty of minutes with good company around him, it's always a given that he will put up serious numbers. The highly skilled forward struck four times including three in the first period alone. In addition to his madness, J.Pantelis played a different role as the set up man resulting in fours helpers along with a tally. On the flip side of the court, T.Karasek was an absolute force for the Bramabulls, who buried four markers as part of a five point performance.
(1)Carnage vs Mighty Drunks(3)
L.Bavellas late second period goal shifts the tide for Mighty Drunks
For nearly two entire periods, the Mighty Drunks had no idea on how to figure out B.Madonis. It took up until the very dying moments of the second period before the puzzle was finally solved. With L.Bavellas breaking the ice, the Mighty Drunks had evened the score and knew that they could have taken the game heading into the third. Five minutes had gone by when S.Govas set up a second teammate, this time S.Sicuso being the one to solve Madonis for a second time. And even though Carnage had time for an equaliser, the Mighty Drunks simply tightened up while relying on O.Caillet to make the saves.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Olivier Caillet of the Mighty Drunks. In what was a close 3-1 victory over Carnage, the Mighty Drunks can thank their net minder for allowing only one goal on 25 shots.
