(3)Nighthawks vs HC Mutts(6)
HC Mutts strong ball possession provides easy win
To state the obvious, the HC Mutts dominated the Nighthawks on Sunday night. And the reasons are quite simple. First off, they won every loose ball and kept it for long stretches that can only result in great scoring chances. Adding to that, J.Capaldo although not extremely busy in net, still made a few big saves to keep a clean sheet for two solid periods. The HC Mutts had built a comfortable four goal cushion before Capaldo finally looked human. The Nighthawks did show some bite winning the final frame but it wasn't nearly enough for any concern. N.DeGregorio was the only player to score twice with the games last two goals.
(3)Les Rouuuges vs Lynx(6)
Goal scoring machine J.Mason adds three more to his totals
J.Mason keeps proving that his goal scoring touch will never fade. Game in and game out, the Lynx know that they can rely on their sniper. After striking early in the game, J.Mason saved his best for last adding two more markers and an assist by the third period. The Lynx carried a very slight 2-1 lead before they distanced themselves-from Les Rouuuges. E.Heft got credited the winner while adding his second in a yawning cage. R.Beaver also found the back of the net in the win. As for Les Rouuuges, J.Constantin, N.Zahabi and F.Nasser were the lone goal scores for their club.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jonathan Mason of the Lynx. Once again, the Lynx sniper was a menace, this time bagging three goals along with a helper.
