(4)Fatal Demons vs HC Mutts(3)
Late push not enough as HC Mutts wake up to late
The HC Mutts made a late push, but it wasn't enough as they fell short to the Fatal Demons. One thing that didn't help the HC Mutts was there late start that resulted in a team goal for the Fatal Demons. Even though they had to fight-from behind, they still couldn't get it right up until the later stages of the contest. By then, the Fatal Demons controlled every aspect of their game and made sure to protect their lead. A.Jalilvand's bullet that beat the net minder short side held up as the winner. The only positive's that the HC Mutts took in the loss was their solid finish with three straight goals. That sequence helped motivate them knowing that they had a double header versus the very same squad.
(8)Lynx vs Butchers (3)
Butchers can't figure out Lynx
When analyzing why the Butchers can't put a dent in the Lynx's game, the answer is quite simple. The Lynx are simply quicker, and unless the Butchers keep their gaps closer-from player to player, they'll get burned every time. Another bad start didn't help either with the Lynx making the Butchers pay on their mistakes. Many players contributed offensively with A.Mason striking twice while D.Zabitsky collected four points. The scary part about this lopsided result was that J.Mason and their captain J.Lang were out of action. In the likely hood that the standings don't change, the Lynx will get the Butchers in their first round match up.
(5)Fatal Demons vs HC Mutts(3)
Fatal Demons bank six clean points in double header night with HC Mutts
Despite their late let down earlier on, the Fatal Demons approached this game with a different frame of mind. They knew that the HC Mutts were going to come out swinging, but that didn't stop them-from weathering the storm. As a matter of fact, it was the Fatal Demons grabbing the better start jumping off to a 2-0 lead. The HC Mutts only got on board as of the mid way point when V.Romito finally solved P.Assadi. M.Danello did tie things up moments later but the Fatal Demons immediately regained their lead thanks to G.DeMarinis. Still, the HC Mutts were in striking distance heading into the third period. Unfortunately, they just couldn't seem to get an edge against a side that was definitely committed.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Austin Jalilvand of the Fatal Demons. In a double header night versus the HC Mutts, A.Jalilvand notched both winners in two very close games.
