Chic Choc captures championship in shootout versus Degenerates
Chic Choc captured a victorious run on Monday night by going the ultimate distance to edge out the Degenerates. The loss stung the Degenerates who felt they deserved better considering how well they played the final two games. The problem however took place between the pipes. F.Peloquin was exceptional and arguably the reason why his club prevailed in the end. The Chic Choc were clearly better in the first encounter but seemed to lose their energy level as the night went on. It was by the second game that the Degenerates took over with loads of ball possession that resulted in plenty scoring chances. After levelling the series with a 3-1 score, twelve minutes and possibly a shootout was all that was left for the two sides in order to succeed. The series was so extremely close that a twelve minute period wasn't enough. Unfortunately, it came down to the dreaded penalty shots in order to claim a winner. Out of the six combined attempts, M.Ethier had the final say when he faked out P.Assadi. F.Peloquin continued-from where he left off stopping all three breakaways his way. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com, congratulations go out o Frederick Peloquin and the Chic Choc for winning the 4vs4 division.
