K.Araujo leads the way with incredible four goal game

When things don't go your way it's difficult to find your way out. The Devil Dawgz had a season to forget and came off a loss only a week ago suggesting that things won't be improving much moving forward.  But with K.Araujo leading the way, that theory can be thrown out of the window. The corner stone d-man was on a planet of his own collecting half of his team's goals that included three in a row. This contest was only 4-3 after two periods favouring the Devil Dawgz, who still had a short bench to deal with entering the final stretch. And while normally that would come to bite them in the end, this time they got it right by distancing themselves with four third period markers. A.Moniz contributed to the win riffling two tallies while National got scoring efforts-from all different players.

C.Paris has field day with 7 points

After finding themselves down 4-0 early on, the Killer Wolf tried to limit the damage with plenty of hockey left over. Unfortunately, they just didn't have the elements to go up against the reigning champions. The Peters will definitely be competing to repeat their title after demonstrating what they did with only seven players dressed versus the Killer Wolf. Leading the way in the lopsided affair was C.Paris, who notched four tallies along with three assists. M.Deninno and S.Mancini each scored twice and C.Vellucci set up five teammates before capping it off on a late marker. As for the Killer Wolf, O.Valiquette is no stranger to finding the back of the net as the sniper buried a pair.

The Family pull away in second half to leave Excalibur in the dust

The Excalibur hung in there as long as they could, but the flood gates eventually opened up for the Family in their convincing win. Things started to tilt as of the mid way point of the match when M.Sasso was responsible for making three goals happen striking once while setting up two teammates. S.Cavallaro led all family members with three goals, and G.Maragno took care of his cage making plenty of key saves. Only two players got the better of the Family net minder. P.Shahjahan and F.Bchara each scored twice in the loss.

Special team's battle favours Pillows

Unable to work their power play, the Brewers gave up two goals on their very own man advantage. The first one was perhaps the turning point of the match when T.Settino made the score 3-1 by the ten minute mark of the second period. That tally only fuelled the Pillows for more to come with A.Zarzour widening the gap only minutes later. Even with a period remaining, the Pillows knew that a solid coverage along with R.Ricuarte occupying the net that the result was in their hands. P.Kallianiotis scored early in the third period but that was as close as it got for the Brewers. Apart-from his shorthanded marker that proved to be the winner, Settino went on to add two key assists to help solidify the victory.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Kevin Araujo of the Devil Dawgz. It seemed like it was forever that the Devil Dawgz couldn't put it together. But with K.Araujo taking charge with four goals, maybe the trend will start to shift for the Devil Dawgz.
