HBHA hold on in high scoring affair with the Brewers

The HBHA prevailed in a high scoring affair to outlast the Brewers 9-6 on Friday night. Offenses were definitely potent in this contest which left the two goaltenders paying the price. By the time each frame ended, the HBHA would find themselves in front winning every frame by only a goal. P.Doulis, S.Kalaydjian and N.Kokovidis each scored in the third period to balance the scoring with two goals apiece. As for the Brewers, T.Fernando and T.Adamacopoulos did their part with a pair each.

Killer Wolves not waiting around with 6 first period goals

Most teams would be satisfied with six goals a game never mind one period. The Killer Wolves went on a scoring onslaught during that span to grab immediate control of the match. And while that may have discouraged their opponent, the Excalibur weren't going down without a fight. Even though it was only by a slight 3-2 score, the Excalibur won the second frame to limit the damage. Unfortunately, the hole was already dug way to deep-from that point and the Killer Wolves simply worked the clock to their advantage. J.Brunet is and will continue to be an absolute force with his wicked shot that resulted in four tallies. O.Valiquette is no stranger to goals as well as the sniper collected a hat trick as part of a seven point night.

National step ahead by third period

Playing two very good periods just isn't good enough against a team like National. The Pillows played well enough standing their ground but simply ran out of steam versus a quicker and better conditioned team. By the time they entered the final frame, National were often first on the ball which makes them extremely dangerous for how well they use one another. M.Pinheiro single handily took care of his team's offense. The captain set up C.Dagenais twice before striking for three straight goals that included a nifty move on the power play. Between C.Dageanis , M.Pinheiro, S.Laplante and O.Meilleur, National got a total of 13 points-from the four players.

Devil Dawgz use three third period goals to rally past Family

The Family were unable to maintain a 3-1 lead with half a period remaining. All that work that got them to that point turned sour when the Devil Dawgz woke up-from the dead posting three straight. The comeback was led by J.Melo, N.Pacheco and J.Constantin, who put the final staple to the match. Two out of their four goals came with the man advantage. With points hard to come by, the Family will need to regroup and focus on what's ahead after a disappointing let down. J.Iacampo did his part scoring two goals in the loss while S.Cavallaro bagged the other along with an assist.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Marc Pinheiro of National. In a close 5-2 win versus the Pillows, M.Pinheiro was unstoppable striking three times while setting up his clubs first two goals.
