Venom late collapse enables Punishers to split
It looked like Venom were well on their way to a pair of wins on Monday night. Then, it all fell apart. The Punishers mounted an incredible comeback where N.Pitsikoulis finished it off with only three seconds left on the clock. Prior to the collapse, Venom played a near flawless game. The first encounter had them shutout the Punishers after M.Trivisonno faced a total of 16 shots. Much of the second encounter resembled the first one with Venom controlling most of the play. P.Kawkab and N.Gilbert each scored twice and J.Courteau advanced the lead to 5-2. Surely both sides felt this contest was over and done with but that was up until A.Sarigiannis struck with a power play marker. P.Arkalis and A.Kobayati went on to score as well which left only the dagger - from N.Pitsikoulis.

Les Unknown cruise to a pair of wins over Golden Boys
A rough start to the season got a bit smoother for Les Unknown on this particular night. It didn't even matter that only six players were dressed for Les Unknown. When everyone is on the same page, chemistry proves that it can come a long way. In the first game alone, Les Unknown ran up the score with a convincing 9-2 result. A.Henein, A.Zarzour and M.Zarzour each took turns nodding a pair each. The second encounter was a little tighter but still favouring Les Unknown. For a second straight time, A.Henein was able to find the back of the net on two occasions while his captain J.Constantin matched his play with a pair as well. The Golden Boys got two of their three tallies by J.Durocher.

Dragons rebound after opening game slaughter
So much went right for the Fatal Demons that it looked like only one team showed up to play. However, that was only the case in the first game where they totally dominated the Dragons with a 5-0 victory. M.Testolina made his presence felt right away as the sharp shooter put three behind P.Assadi for a hat trick. In hopes of duplicating their efforts in the ensuing match, the Dragons had a complete different approach on how to handle their opponent. By striking first for an early lead, the Dragons were now able to dictate their own terms. Three different players scored in the opening frame that saw E.Girouard eventually bury his second in the following frame. B.Verducci stopped all 14 shots for the Fatal Demons while his counterpart P.Assadi was able to respond with a perfect sheet as well.

1 Timer top 50 in 07 with solid team effort
It's always nice when it isn't one player taking charge to make a difference. That was clearly the case in the 1 Timers decisive wins over the 50 in 07.Both their victories saw most of their players chip away in one way or another. After a dominant 4-0 victory to kick start their night, the 1 Timer kept the pedal to the medal and went full throttle in the second game. F.Koch came off a shutout victory and C.Gagnon-Ethier was the only player to score twice in a 7-2 victory. Throughout most of the night, the 50 in 07 found it difficult to generate enough scoring chances. They did manage to solve F.Koch on two occasions thanks to N.Milford and J.Fisch.
