(11)Bramabulls vs Knights (1)
Bramabulls hit Knights with an onslaught of offense
The Bramabulls entered the night with high intensity, something that they have been doing-from the start of the season. They took the first period on two quick goals and eventually separated themselves from-the Knights on a massive second period onslaught. D.Verta's back to back goals by the second frame convinced both sides that this contest was headed in only one direction. Clearly, the Knights felt demoralised in the second half lowering their compete level in what felt like a lost cause. But for the Bramabulls, they just went about their own business running up the score. J.Palmitano took over with a pair of consecutive markers before capping off the night on a hat trick. If not for M.E Julien solving him, G.Follano would have picked up a shutout on 21 shots that he faced.
(6)Carnage vs Mighty Drunks (5)
Carnage take over in third period to edge out Mighty Drunks
Carnage were victorious thanks to a three goal outburst in the third. The Mighty Drunks felt good about their game being up 4-3 after two frames. Unfortunately, they couldn't play well enough for three periods. R.DiMarco was undoubtedly a big reason why Carnage escaped with the extra three points. After tying the game early in the final frame, DiMarco wasn't done yet, adding his second later in the frame with a goal that ultimately held up for the winner. Despite many things going on during this particular game, the Mighty Drunks will look back on a missed opportunity where they had a chance to increase their lead by two on a power play chance. Instead, Carnage was able to tally shorthanded to keep the game very close.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Robert DiMarco of Carnage. In what was a very close battle with the Mighty Drunks, M.DiMarco came in the clutch posting two very big third period goals.
