(1)United Armenians vs Legacy (8)
Legacy power their way past United Armenians
The United Armenians were hemmed in their own zone for a large part of the game, and never really found a point to give themselves an emotional lift. It didn't help that they had to go up against a structured and talented group of guys. Despite all that, they held their own for a decent portion of the game. But as time passed on, Legacy would eventually open up the flood gates. P.Doulis notched his second on the power play and the court kept tilting in only one direction. T.Bozinakis set up three markers before capping the night off with a pair of insurance goals. The United Armenians did strike first very early on courtesy of A.Melkounian but that was all they got by F.Baratta.
(7)Job on Demand vs SBS Trashers(5)
Job on Demand rock Trashers in second period
It took only a short period of time for the Job on Demand to dictate the pace of this game. The SBS Trashers fell flat and got themselves in trouble giving up two power play goals. By the time the second period ended, this game was over and done with. J.Pantelis and J.Courteau shared a pair of goals each and P.Assadi came out on top in a crazy back and forth battle with R.Pampena. The SBS Trashers knew that they had to keep it close in order to have a chance with many key elements absent-from their line up. One area they'll look back at is in the second period where they gave up consecutive power play goals. Despite the loss, E.Panzera had a solid outing accumulating three points while Joe Scalia hasn't missed a beat striking twice.
(2)United Armenians vs Fatal Demons (10)
Double header night catches up to the United Armenians
The Fatal Demons entered this game full aware for how important it was to finally pick up some points. They have yet to taste victory and couldn't have picked a better moment to get on board. Knowing that the United Armenians had played prior, the Fatal Demons used their three lines to constantly wear down their opponent. And although the score may suggest a very lop sided affair, this contest only opened up towards the second half of the game. All three lines contributed offensively with M.Kardum leading the way on three goals that included the winner. The win may feel nice for P.Santullo and his troops, but plenty of work is still to be done if they plan on competing with the big boys.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jimmy Pantelis of the Job on Demand. The skilled forward made plenty happen, setting up two teammates while nodding a pair of key tallies in a 7-5 win over the SBS Trashers.
