(6)Brewers vs Chiefs (4)
Chiefs can't find legs in first two periods, comeback falls short against Brewers
Even though they were at their worse for two periods, the Chiefs nearly overcame it only to fall short in the end. Things looked promising for the Chiefs when they strung three straight goals in the third period to even the score. By that point, they were working hard and got paid their dividends up until a late play shifted the momentum back to the Brewers. T.Michalidis avoided what was going to be a potential dreadful finish by snapping the very late tie. T.Fernando then put the final stamp feeding an empty cage collecting his second goal as the only player to score twice between the two sides.
(1)Bramabulls vs Pylons (10)
Pylons keep rolling along in rout of Bramabulls
Despite having a short bench, the Pylons remained patient and simply waited for their chances. They were able to build on key areas like playing well with the ball and defending the rush when the Bramabulls would try and create something. Another key area came-from their active defensemen joining the play. Amazingly enough, D.Charbonneau and T.Bergomi provided most of the scoring as both players shared hat tricks. It always helps having extra options on attack and the Pylons used it to their advantage knowing their d-men can produce. O.Caillet, although not too busy was solid early on when the game was still within reach for the Bramabulls.
(3)Family vs Devil Dawgz(2) O.T
M-A Daaha, a huge reason why the Family are still in it
Although they would have preferred a regulation win, the Family won't be complaining much after this result. By collecting two points thanks to an overtime finish-from M-A Daaha, the standings just got more interesting between three teams trying to avoid last place. The Devil Dawgz did most of what they needed to do considering the circumstances. Due to their very short bench, they managed to grab a 2-0 lead and protect it for as long as they could. The problem was that they had to challenge a squad just as desperate, but with a much deeper line up. Eventually, the hard work and grinding effort would pay off for the Family. Apart-from his game winning goal, M-A Daaha was an absolute force scoring twice while setting up K.Kolakowski.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Moulay-Ayad Daaha of the Family. The relentless forward never let up, and by working hard as he's done all season, the Family are still alive thanks to his two big goals and assist.
