 (9)GK vs Punishers(2)

GK shine again in lopsided victory

Right out of the gate, it was the GK in control of the game with the strong play of their top players putting the Punishers immediately on its heels. The early pressure forced the Punishers to find solutions but they quickly realized there weren't any answers. It wasn't like they could have focused on a threatening player or two as four different GK players scored before the period ended. You never want to fall in a deep hole that early on in a game, let alone versus the GK. Eventually, the Punishers did get on board striking twice in the second period, but were no where close to making a game of it. The GK simply controlled the pace riding a comfortable lead while using the clock in their advantage. M-A Trudeau, Trung Pham and S.Provencal each converted twice on their scoring chances.

(4)Montreal As vs Capitals(0)

M.Patulli hat trick helps lift Montreal As to shutout win over Capitals

M.Patulli's season debut showed a ton of promise for what is to come for the Montreal As rest of the season. The first couple of periods laid the ground work for a tremendous back and forth game which saw J.Richer allow his second goal late in the second period while C.Ratcheff remained flawless denying every shot his way. The Capitals attempted to battle back into the game but were stuck dealing with the same problem throughout the entire night, the inability to penetrate the Montreal As defense along with their last line of defense. While that was a major component for the Montreal As success, M.Patulli would also make himself a big part of the story by netting three out of his clubs four goals.

(6)Black Knights vs Bengals HC(4)

J.Gagne sets the tone early for the Black Knights

J.Gagne needed less than twelve minutes into the first period to record three points that included a pair of goals. The Black Knights were off  to another great start to their night. By grabbing their 3-0 lead, the Bengals HC had to re construct their game plan if they hoped to remain competitive. But sometimes momentum can be a funny thing, and just when the Black Knights thought they seized control of the game, the Bengals HC would surge to narrow the margin by one. Down only 4-3 heading into the final frame, the Bengals HC did everything possible to try and level. Unfortunately, they couldn't catch that one single break that would have caused fits for the Black Knights. Instead, J.Uppal increased the lead by two and J.Gagne would eventually complete his hat trick to secure the win.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to M.Patulli of the Montreal As. He entered the Montreal As line up on Tuesday night and dominated the Capitals by collecting a hat trick.

(2)Montreal Machine vs Slayers(1)

Late goals lift Montreal Machine over Slayers

Two goals in the final six minutes gave the Montreal Machine a slight 2-1 victory over the Slayers on Thursday night. The game was scoreless for nearly three full periods before a barrage of goals resulted in the Montreal Machines favour. First, M.Argiris ended the drought which was later followed by J.Morina netting what stood out to be the winner. Both teams defense and goaltenders played incredibly well as they continually denied any goals for most of the night. S.Patel, although thrilled for the victory would have preferred to make that one extra save to earn a shutout . On the flip side, R.Pampena was equally stellar facing over 20 shots.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Sonny Patel of the Montreal Machine. So close to earning a shutout, S.Patel can take pride knowing he was the difference maker keeping a clean score sheet up until the final moments of the game
