Super Size Trio dominate ball possession for Punishers
From-the drop of the ball, the Punishers were ready to go and immediately put the Classics on its heels. The Classics looked to be chasing most of the two games and never fully found that spark they needed to compete with a superior opponent. The heavy ball possession resulted in many plays leading to plenty of goals in the opening game. K.Kuczmarski, apart-from making himself look good, makes everyone around him better. The dynamic forward struck first and was an immanent threat throughout the night collecting a massive seven points. To his help, P.Karvouriaris and C.Gingras made things roll a little easier as all three players kept connecting making one play look easier than the other. The Classics did have a decent start after a lopsided loss, but were stuck facing another problem, the Punishers net minder. C.Kakivelis made a few key saves early on which eventually enabled his club to score en route to a 3-0 shutout victory.

Simple game plan works wonders for Degenerates
The Degenerates wanted to address a few things entering their games vs the RCGT Knights on Monday night. Quick changes, smart ball control and limiting as many scoring chances as possible. Sure enough, they did all that and were ultimately rewarded in the end. All seven players contributed in a big way, especially S.Catalano, who challenged every shot and did a fine job handling the rebounds. The offensive part was just a question of time for the amount of chances generated. After holding up for a 2-0 win, the Degenerates got more timely goals in the next match, two in which came-from their d-man D.Charbonneau. The RCGT Knights have plenty of quality throughout their line up but weren’t able to utilise it effectively on this particular night. D.Vaccaro was their only player to solve S.Catalano, who was simply sound and composed for a pair of well earned victories.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Santino Catalano of the Degenerates. Goaltending is always key, and S.Catalano came through in a very muggy night stopping almost every single ball his way.
