G.De Marinis a one man wrecking crew as Dragons down Fatal Demons
G.DeMarinis highlighted why he can sometimes be difficult to contain. Going up against a very familiar Fatal Demons side, DeMarinis did what he does best, and that’s is to position himself for his deadly slap shots . It almost seemed like he was three steps of everyone else on the field, solidifying one of his better performances ever. The Dragons played tonight’s two games to their strengths. They simply kept their opponent to the outside and waited for the opportunities to arise when they presented themselves. After netting both goals in a close 2-1 win, G.DeMarinis carried his pace collecting four more points that included a beauty short side top corner-from close range. The Fatal Demons never once led which forced them to play a frustrating catch up game against a very stubborn defense. H.Psaourdis was sound again in net while B.Daniele quarterbacked his club to the finish line.

Carnage unable to match pace with RCGT Knights
Carnage spent plenty of time trying to dig out of a hole. They eventually managed to overcome a 2-0 deficit but could never go ahead before falling in a shootout. S.Azzi scored late to push the game into extra time where they unsuccessfully faltered on all three attempts. The RCGT did have the last say in the shootout when V.Mancini got the better of G.Tritsis. In hopes of continuing where they left off, Carnage couldn’t get that jolt they needed despite striking first early on. Eventually, the second match tilted in only one direction with the RCGT Knights pushing much of the pace. J.DeSua perhaps provided the back breaker giving his club a two goal margin early in the final frame. Then, just for good measure, J.Azoulay buried his second tally and third point that surely convinced both sides that this contest was over and done with.

Pylons pull away in second contest after close encounter with Brewers
The Pylons put forth a furious effort in their second game versus the Brewers scoring seven unanswered completing a productive night. Although they did get it done in regulation time in the first encounter, O.Valiquette and Y.Derohannessian did provide the win thanks to their shootout tallies coupled with O.Caillet standing firm in net. It just felt it was a question of time before the duo of Valiquette and Derohannessian would connect. Both players went on a absolute tear combining for eight points making one play look prettier than the other. The Brewers struggled to keep enough distance to clog up their opponent. The Pylons used their active defense to create offense enabling the forwards to do their thing. Overall, a solid night for the Pylons who, hope to carry good habits moving forward.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to G.DeMarinis of the Dragons. With all respect for how well the Dragons played on Thursday night, both their wins was all about one player. G.DeMarinis was simply a recipe for disaster towards his opponent. Unable to be contained, DeMarininis scored twice in a 2-1 win before tearing it up collecting four more points in the ensuing match.
