Captain Y.Derohannessian ends shootout with a beauty for Armos

The Armos had a different look on Thursday night. With some key additions inserted in the line up, teams will struggle against them as the Snipers fell victims twice dropping two tight games. Building a 2-0 lead always helps, and A.Berberyan and M.Batri  were able to provide it for the Armos. Eventually there was a response, and who better-from their captain A.Khanafer to pull the game within one. Despite having more than a period to even the score, R.Ricaurte went into shutdown mode stopping everything his way. Much of the second game resembled the first one with the Armos jumping ahead while both sides pursued a tight checking style. The Snipers did overcome the barrier by winning a big second period thanks to a pair of goals-from H.Awada. With the game all evened up, the shootout was where the Armos captain stole the show. Y.Derohannessian stick handled his way on a brilliant fake to bury the ball past M.St-Laurent.

SBS Trashers snake bitten twice vs Unknown

J.DeCoteau was at the right place at the right time as was his teammate M.Zarzour for the Unknown. Both players notched the winning goals towards the late stages of the game. The SBS Trashers may have started strong leading in the two encounters but the Unknown kept battling before getting rewarded on their never quit effort. Every single player came to play, players were battling hard in the corners while going to the net only to run into two solid goaltenders. J.Stepanian was clearly a big part of the two victories. The net minder was sharp allowing only three goals on 40 shots throughout the four periods. The two games had a playoff atmosphere to it for how intense it got. The Unknown will be glad to take this battle as they managed six clean points over a solid Trashers team.

Assadi Consulting inc use four unanswered and never looked back

The Horsemen needed a better effort in the second period of the first game. Unfortunately, and as good as their start was, the Horsemen could not recover-from a lacklustre performance. The Assadi Consulting inc weren’t at their best either but turned things around soon as the second frame hit. From-there, the Horsemen were badly out competed giving up four straight. J.Courteau opened and closed the scoring on two very timely goals. That finish was just what the Assadi Consulting inc  fuelled on heading into the next encounter. The momentum simply carried over and the Horseman had no answers on how to slow the bleeding. Again, Courteau made his presence was felt  potting two more markers as did R.Fortin.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jean Stepanian of the Unknown. His outstanding performance helped the Unknown collect two nice wins in a pair of low scoring games.
