One two punch Carpentier and Surprenant causing havoc

It just showed that the Hart Foundation didn’t know how to handle the 1 Timer in the first of two games. The strategy of neutralising two top gun scoring machines wasn’t in the game plan as P-A Surprenant and M.Carpentier had a field day combining for five goals in a 5-2 victory. Luckily enough there was a second match to get things right. The Hart Foundation tightened up and eventually got rewarded on three unanswered goals including a well coordinated power play marker-from G.Barerra after receiving an incredible pass by M.Stoico. Even though the 1 Timer found themselves in a deep hole, that didn’t stop them- from fighting back forcing the Hart Foundation to work till the bitter end. P-A Surprenant still found a way to bury a pair to pull his team within one but that narrow gap lasted only so long. D.Sarno responded shortly after for the winner on a beautiful effort that only nifty players can get away with.

Struggling S.Sauk manages a point for the RCGT Knights

There is no denying the RCGT Knights would have struggled without some key components and a goaltender that can barley hang on due to some injuries. With those glaring issues looming throughout the opening game, the HC Jokerit worried about there own business, and that’s to try and win a hockey game. Clearly they had no issues getting the result and did it with authority. Out of their seven goals, A.Alonso went on a rampage posting four for his club. The good news for the RCGT Knights after a forgetful performance was that they added three players for the second match. That immediately changed the dynamic of their club but still stuck with a very injured S.Sauk between the pipes. The good start did help as every goal would matter. However, it was just a question of time before the HC Jokerit would battle back which eventually forced a shootout. During the breakaways, neither side was successful except for the two net minders. H.Correia faced only two shooters and denied them both while S.Sauk used his experience to out wait his opposition stopping three in a row.

Bad Guys Inc cruise for a pair of wins over Classics

After being overmatched in the opening contest, the Classics looked a lot better in the ensuing game but still fell short to the Bad Guys inc. The luxury of playing with the lead always helps. At no point did the Bad Guys Inc seem to be in any trouble. They came to play-from the beginning, they had plenty of good looks and contributions-from many of their players. G.Amorosa potted a pair in the opening game as did V.Albanese in the second encounter. The Classics could have used a full roster on a night they faced a consistent team-from the higher division.

Run and gun play does not bold well against the Punishers

No matter what strategy you try and use, it just wont work against the Punishers. The Degenerates learned this lesson very early in the opening game trying to trade high end chances with a team that barely misses . They knew an adjustment had to be made in the second game if they planned on keeping it respectable. After the lopsided defeat, the Degenerates did attempt to hang back a little and wait for their chances. Unfortunately, that didn’t work either, but they did manage to play a better game creating plenty of scoring chances only to hit a wall in net. C.Kakivelis made enough key saves to keep the second match also out of reach. The problem when facing the Punishers is that players such as P.Karvouriaris ,K.Kuczmarski and C.Gingras will make you pay almost every time. Tonight, the three combined for a ridiculous twenty points.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Andrew Alonso of the HC Jokerit. The spark plug was all over the field versus the RCGT Knights scoring four goals in the opening game and than following up with a big equaliser late in the second match to force a shootout.
