Resilient Unknown push back after dropping opener to Assadi Consulting inc

All they needed to do was to hang around. The Unknown were stuck playing without many players and because of that they weathered the storm to stay in the game for as long as possible. It actually took a fairly late power play goal-from A.Dayan  for the Assadi Consulting inc to grab a narrow victory. The Unknown did grow as the night went on as players started to suit up. Now the real test began with both sides flooring at least two lines. Throughout the entire second game, both sides brought out a gritty effort and made sure that nothing was going to come easy. Eventually, the chances resulted in both teams trading a pair of second period markers leaving only a late power play goal by J.Constantin to lift the Unknown past their opponent. That goal came with only ten seconds left in the game. J.Stepanian was a rock in net for the Unknown keeping both games extremely close which enabled his club to capture at least one of two possible victories.

J.Scalia puts SBS Trashers back on track, Snipers jump off to better start

The Snipers couldn’t have asked for a better start to their night versus the SBS Trashers. They scored first, H.Awada snapped a late 1-1 tie and N.Atoui buried his second to solidify a 3-1 victory. M.St-Laurent was noticeable between the pipes stopping 19 of 20 shots. After such a great performance, the theory of momentum was put to test for the Snipers. But as time went on, the two teams understood that every game is an individual event. This time, the SBS Trashers returned the favour doing the same to their opponent. Perhaps the pivotal moment of the game came when J.Scalia decided to wake up and post two straight goals in only 50 seconds . That sequence occurred late in the first period giving the SBS Trashers a nice 3-1 lead heading into the final frame. Still, plenty of time was left over but the SBS Trashers weren’t planning on throwing this one away, especially with their stubborn net minder R.Pampena controlling his cage. Its always difficult closing a night off on two straight wins. Teams tend to respond hard when losing the first game while the winning side sometimes get to complacent.

Armos letting it slip away vs Club Ecole Orient

It will be one hard to swallow for Y.Derohannessian and the rest of the Armos team. Anytime a team goes up 4-0, there cant be any reason for failure. However, the Armos failed to slam the door shut as the nightmare started to unfold by the final frame. It took only one single minute for B.Cabral to kick start the comeback on a penalty shot followed with two quick tallies by N.Zahabi. From-that point on, the lead remained intact for the Armos for a decent stretch until the Club Ecole Orient captain came through with only 30 seconds remaining. F.Nasser completed the comeback forcing the game into extra time. Things didn’t get any better-from that point on for the Armos. B.Cabral and F.Nasser would each score during the shootouts while T.Chouinard stood firm denying two attempts. In hopes of salvaging their night on a heavy response, the Armos fell short once again. Again, B.Cabral came to haunt his opponent netting the winner in a tight 2-1 decision.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Billy Cabral of the Club Ecole Orient. The forward notched three timely goals for his club. He started it all off on a penalty shot, followed up with a shootout winner in the first game before completing his night notching his second winner in the ensuing contest.
