Dek Lanaudiere find enough bounces to end Dek Boucherville winning streak

The Dek Boucherville were unable to continue their winning ways as they finally hit a dead end versus the Dek Lanaudiere. It did take however a shootout in order to hand the Dek Boucherville their first loss of the season. Leading to that point, this contest was far-from a dull performance by the two sides. Both teams sparked plenty of offense while crowding the penalty box which gave the Dek Boucherville a slight edge in that area. Three of their goals came with the man advantage. This game looked to have been locked in regulation time for the Dek Lanauadiere but that was until A.St-Denis struck very late to force a shootout. Luckily enough for the Dek Lanauadiere ,L-S Vienneau was there so save the day. The net minder was sharper than a swiss army knife stopping four straight skilled players. On the flip side, G.Marineau-Lavoie and S.Dicaire used their magic to get the better of P-O Girouard. Entering tonight’s contest, many felt they doubted the Dek Lanaudiere’s chances versus their opponent considering how well the Dek Boucherville have been playing. Clearly, this will be a confidence booster for a team that believes they are closer than many people think.

K.Leveille haunts SportXpo

The Centre SportXpo knew they had to dig deep going up against Le Rinque on Tuesday night. With many regulars out of the line up, its difficult for teams to find immediate chemistry despite replacing them with some quality players such as Q.Syrydiuk, P.Abandorado, T.Lebel-Lafleur, L.Bourgault,P.Arkalis just to name a few. So in terms of the mind set of the players, they know that they can compete with their opposition. Throughout most of the first period, the game remained extremely close with both sides trading high end chances that had the SportXpo snake bitten on a few breakaway attempts after applying enough pressure. Those types of high end chances , if not buried, will only come back to hurt you in the end, especially versus Le Rinque. Proof of that started  to occur as the game went on and especially by K.Leveille, who took the bull by the horns scoring three straight second period goals as part of a four goal and one assist performance. The highly skilled forward brought his hockey background into play after playing for Nantes in the French league.  Even though the score suggests for a lopsided affair, this contest was closer than it appeared. Leveille broke the game wide open fairly late, and C.Lantin had to be sharp in net for Le Rinque in order to guarantee the win. In addition to K.Leveille’s hockey background, P.Abbandorado plays for the Laval Rocket and ironically was the lone goal scorer for the CentreSportXpo

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to K.Leveille of Le Rinque. Out of their six goals, the dynamic forward notched four including an assist.
