SBS Trashers drop crucial points, Armos aiming high with 2 wins

If the SBS Trashers intend on participating in the playoffs, they would have to find a way to at least grab some points versus the Armos. It was definitely a big test with so much on the line. Mathematically, the situation favours the SBS Trashers under the condition that they get the job done. Instead, the worse case scenario came to fruition. They dropped both their games and were stuck losing out on two of there better skilled players entering the second match. The Armos on the other hand were feeling pretty good about themselves. After taking a close 4-2 win, the second match was in their total control. A.Kizirian’s soft hands were in full display scoring two incredible goals that only few players are capable of. He did get help-from his captain Y.Derohannessian, who was the architect behind setting up three markers while adding one himself. The two wins will put the Armos in a great spot to try and isolate one of the top two seeds for a first round bye.

Club Ecole Orient cant execute in lackluster losses to Snipers

You cant give up six goals and make mistakes if you plan on winning too many games. The Club Ecole Orient put on a dismal performance Wednesday, falling twice against a team that they are very familiar with. After dropping the opener in a landslide, the second match wasn’t any better, with the Snipers continuing -from where they left off. They managed to win every period and allowed only one goal when B.Cabral beat M.St-Laurent for a rare time. H.Awada led the charge sparking a hat trick in the first encounter while A.Saleh was vital for the second win posting two out of the Snipers three goals. Playing with a short bench clearly didn’t help for the Club Ecole Orient, and things only look to get more complicated as they take on the Assadi Consulting inc in their double header night.

Unknown remain in basement with time running out

Put plainly, the Unknown couldn’t do enough with their short bench on Wednesday night. They defaulted the first game before able to floor a team with no spares. Unless they struck first and got lights out goaltending, the end result was inevitable. The Horsemen eventually got on board with two first period goals before pulling away adding six more for the easy win. P.Sidhom and D.Sarno each notched a pair and M.Vinciguerra sweated more because of the humidity rather than having to make many saves. The Unknown are in a desperate situation trying to capture a playoff spot. With the SBS Trashers dropping both their earlier games, tonight’s results came as a missed opportunity for the Unknown, who will need some help if they plan to get in.

Double header night takes its toll on Club Ecole Orient

It was there second game of a double header night and the Club Ecole Orient just didn’t have it long enough to steal some points. To their credit, they led considerably in both games but couldn’t hold off long enough as the Assadi Consulting inc crossed the finish line first due to their persistency. The comeback effort was led by six different scorers in the opening game, but more specifically by D.Demarais in the second match as the forward scored twice before setting up M.Gagnon twice on two very late goals. The Club Ecole Orient did nearly everything right except for trying to close out the two games. There tendency to keep pushing with the lead came to bite them in the end. That aggressive style enabled the Assadi Consulting inc to cause turnovers which resulted in some odd man rushes. Overall, it was a solid effort for F.Nasser and his depleted line up having to play a total of eight mini games in only three hours.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to H.Awada of the Snipers. The forward was a constant threat and a handful for his opponent in both games. Awada collected four goals and a helper to lead his club over their rival.
