SBS Trashers cant catch a break, Assadi Consulting inc bank points for first place
While the Assadi consulting inc are looking to secure a first place bye, the SBS Trashers entered tonight’s contests in survival mode hoping to participate in the playoffs. There was no doubt the pressure was on the SBS Trashers, who had to put it all on the line in what was their biggest challenge so far this season. Things appeared to be headed in the right direction when J.Scalia and F.Gentile took turns beating P.Assadi for a 3-2 lead . By that point, R.Pampena was heavily relied on, and despite how well he played in net, there is only so much your goaltender can do. The Assadi Consulting inc eventually responded with two goals off the blade of J.Courteau to regain the lead. The loss was devastating but the opportunity of rebounding was still up for grabs for the Trashers. Unfortunately, a repeat of what just transpired occurred in the second match with the M.Mavroudis striking late snapping a 2-2 tie for the Assadi Consulting inc. The SBS Trashers played well enough to have grabbed at least one victory but are now stuck hoping for some help in the games between the Unknown and the Armos.

F.Nasser upping his game at the right time for the Club Ecole Orient
There was no question the Club Ecole Orient’s captain was fired up on Thursday night. F.Nasser keeps on wanting to do more game in and game out and tonight was proof of it as his monster performance led to a tie and a win over the Horsemen. He was definitely at his best scoring twice in the first game along with providing a shootout marker to ensure the tie. His second game was just as deadly accumulating four points to help lead his club en route to a 5-2 decision. The Club Ecole Orient had their best moment in the first period of the second match where they rode a four goal splash. B.Cabral contributed as well capping his night on three goals and an assist. Considering they were only six players, the Club Ecole Orient can be a dark horse if they show up with a deeper line up in the playoffs.

Assadi Consulting inc cap off perfect night on 4 victories
The Assadi Consulting felt relaxed having no pressure to try and win their games versus the Snipers. And because of it, things just fell into play naturally as they had no issues taking a convincing 6-0 win to jump start their mini series with the Snipers. Y.Gazura led the charge up front with a hat trick, and P.Assadi stopped 17 shots for a shutout. The Snipers struggled to get much offense going and the second match wasn’t any different with no solutions on how to break down the Assadi Consulting inc defense and goaltender. They did manage to keep it very close for the large part but eventually fell further behind when J.Courteau fed an empty cage for a 3-0 lead. Courteau added another empty net marker to complete his hat trick in what was a dominant five point display.

Unknown couldn’t put it together at most crucial time of the season
The opportunity was there for the Unknown to control there own fate on whether or not they clinch a playoff spot. All they needed was a couple of points vs the Armos , who didn’t have a deep line up. By the time the first period ended, the Unknown were stuck looking at their second match knowing that a 5-0 deficit was unlikely to overcome. Y.Derohannessian and N.Chiminian went on an absolute tear combining for eight points during that stretch. Both players didn’t slow down in their next encounter, especially Derohannessian, who added three more goals and a pair of assists. For the Unknown, it was just a bad finish unable to contain some key players-from the Armos, which saw some sloppy plays and turnovers at such a critical point in the season. The two wins does place the Armos all alone in second place where they will skip the first round and get a direct pass to the semi finals.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Fadel Nasser of the Club Ecole Orient. The captain sent a strong message right before the playoffs to his teammates that he will be ready to play. The skilled d-man scored in the shootout as part of a six point performance that included four goals.
Tonight concluded the regular season for the Wednesday/Thursday division. The Assadi Consulting inc along with the Armos will go straight to the semi finals for capturing the top two seeds. The first round match ups are as follows:
(3)Club Orient Ecole vs SBS Trashers(6) If F.Nasser will judge his opponent on their regular season record, than he and his club will be in trouble. R.Pampena is as good as it gets between the pipes, and when you have a pair of lethal threats up front such as J.Scalia and F.Gentile, anything is possible. Its up to the Club Ecole Orient to use their strengths by playing a structured fore-checking and defensive game if they plan to move on.
(4)Horsemen vs Snipers(5) It will come down to which Snipers team shows up. Sometimes they’ll impress and sometimes they look very ordinary. Ali Khanafer will need to figure out the Horsemen’s strengths and weaknesses and use it to their advantage, if not , look for the Horsemen to prevail.
