Club Ecole Orient advance after shootout win over SBS Trashers

M.Morin converted the decisive breakaway on Wednesday night to help lift his club into the semi final round. You couldn’t have asked for a tighter series with both games decided by only one play. A.Fahra broke a 1-1 tie in game one, and the Club Ecole Orient pushed through the challenge of keeping the SBS Trashers off the score sheet with plenty of time left over. Both sides traded power play goals in game two in what was another low scoring affair which had to reach the dreaded shootout in order to decide a winner. It took the sixth round before M.Morin solved R.Pampena , who was brilliant giving his club every chance possible to extend the series. Throughout the large part of their season, the SBS Trashers put up a challenge against every opponent but often stuck finding themselves in the short end. All it took was a little play here and there to perhaps have shifted their fate. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t their season. As for the Club Ecole Orient, F.Nasser is pleased with the way things have been going, and knows very well that his club can take on anyone at this point on.

V.Pandza rescues Horsemen after concerning start

V.Pandza, captain of the Horsemen and author of many game winners in the past worked his magic posting his clubs biggest goal so far this season. The Horsemen looked down and out after receiving a thumping in game one losing 6-1 to the Snipers. H.Faour and his captain Ali Khanafer each scored twice, and the road appeared paved for a second straight win. However , the Horsemen found a way to adjust and came out desperate in order to salvage their season edging out the Snipers 4-3.D.Sarno potted the winner, and M.Vinciguerra erased an ugly game one in net to put his club back on track. Both sides had only twelve minutes to put forth their best hockey of the season if they planned on moving on. After an unfortunate call, the Snipers played with fire having to kill off a penalty. That opportunity was to much for the Horsemen not to take advantage of. V.Pandza seized the moment like many players who have the ability to strike when it hurts the most. His tally came fairly early which forced the Horsemen and M.Vinciguerra to bear down and suffocate the Snipers offense.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Vinko Pandza of the Horsemen. Timing is everything and the Horsemen captain couldn’t have scored at a better time to cap off an incredible night.
