Dek Lanaudiere hold off Dek Boucherville in tight battle
(2)Dek Lanaudiere vs Dek Boucherville(1)
Sparked by a very early goal-from F.Godin along with M.Fortier doubling up the lead, the Dek Lanaudiere on Wednesday night rattled off a huge win , edging the Dek Boucherville by a slight 2-1 margin. It wasn’t pulse pounding or full of offense and scoring, but things ended happily for the Dek Lanaudiere, who are earning the respect as a team to look out for in the up coming post season. The Dek Boucherville didn’t have much to show for in the goal scoring department until a power play marker by S.Provencal sparked some life. For how tight knitted the Dek Lanaudiere have been playing throughout the entire game, coupled with L-S Vienneau holding the fort between the pipes, the chance of an equaliser with less than five minutes was highly unlikely. The Dek Lanaudiere played a prototypical playoff style game which paid off dividends.
Centre SportXpo no show at home rink
(0)Centre SportXpo vs Le Rinque(4)
It looked like the Centre SportXpo forgot they had a game tonight, and it resulted in them getting crushed by Le Rinque. They completely no showed this one, and it started-from the drop of the ball. Just simply going through the motions of pretending to play ball hockey. Le Rinque were fast, more resilient, and just better. Most of the bad occurred in the first period with M.Duguay, Y.Labonte and S.Bellefleur getting on board. By then, it was already over despite an entire period remaining. You always want to focus on just getting that first goal rather than thinking of a massive comeback. The Centre SportXpo weren’t able to find enough space in dangerous areas to get that much needed tally in order to spark any sort of life. Credit to Le Rinque for protecting their house while knowing C.Lantin was there just in case there was a break down. This result now places Le Rinque in a familiar territory, which is first place of the Dek Elite division.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to L-S Vienneau of the Dek Lanaudiere. Limiting the Dek Boucherville to only one goal says a lot about your goaltender. Vienneau was sound , calm and collective displaying a stellar performance in net.
